Harold
W. Alger Harold W. Alger, 77, of 5 Wild Briar Ave., Livonia, died Aug. 31, 2000, at F.f. Thompson Hospital in Canandaigua. He was born the son of William and Margarite (Driscoll) Alger in Livonia on March 4, 1923. Prior to his retirement in 1978 he worked at Rochester Gas and Electric in Henrietta in the shipping and receiving department. He was a World War II veteran and a life member of the American Legion in Livonia. He is survived by his three children, Terry (Anna) Alger of Rushville, Tom Alger of Rochester and Cathy Alger of Conesus; two granddaughters, Paula Orme of Conesus and Brooke Alger of Rochester; two great grandchildren, Heather and Kaitlin; two sisters, Lois Predmore of Florida and Sylvia Tracey of Canandaigua; nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by is wife Lucille, daughter Nancy and sister Marion. Friends called Tuesday at the Kevin W. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 21 Big Tree St. in Livonia. Albert Constantine John Albert Constantine, 82, of 7917 Lewiston Road, Batavia, formerly of Mt. Morris, died Sept. 3, 2000, at his home. He was born the son of Francesco and Carrie (Barone) Constantine on Aug. 27, 1918, in Mt. Morris. Prior to his retirement in 1976 he was employed at Craig Developmental Center in Sonyea as a registered nurse for over 32 years. He was a former member of St. Patrick's Church in Mt. Morris and a current member of St. Joseph's Church in Batavia. He also was a member of CSEA. He is survived by his wife Ruth; four children, Frank (Rosalie) Constantine of Erie, Pa., Susan (Craig) LeMay of Washington, N.C., Elizabeth (Ronald) Boyd of Batavia and Margaret Peggy Constantine of Mt. Morris; six grandchildren; two sisters, Ruth Constantine of Mt. Morris and Carolyn Bonafede of Dansville; many nieces and nephews. Friends called Tuesday at the John W. Martin Funeral Home, 37 Chapel St., Mt. Morris, where prayers were said Wednesday morning followed by a funeral mass at St. Patrick's Church in Mt. Morris with the Rev. Michael Brown officiating. H. Johnson Avon: Doris H. Johnson, 97, died on Aug. 27, 2000 at the Episcopal Church Home in Rochester. She was born Jan. 6, 1903, in Herkimer, N.Y., the daughter of George A. Henderson and Evelyn (Leitz) Henderson. She was predeceased by her husband Valdemar Andrew Johnson in 1961, and son A. Val Johnson in 1999. She was a resident of Trenton, N. J. before moving to Rochester 12 years ago. She was a retired secretary for Fidelity Mutual Insurance Company in Trenton, N.J. She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Margaret Johnson of Retsof; granddaughter Martha Johnson of Rochester; niece Barbara (Norman) Campbell of Bordentown, N. J. Private calling hours and funeral services were held at the Stephenson-Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc. in Avon with Rev. Mark Latime officiating. Public Memorial Service will be held at the Episcopal Church Home in Rochester at a later date. Contributions may be made to the Episcopal Church Home (505 Mt. McKay Fraser Olive McKay Fraser, 102, of the 2000 block of E. Ocean View Avenue, died Sunday, August 13, 2000. Mrs. Fraser was born in Caledonia, N.Y., on October 5, 1897 to Allen and Fanny Roberts. She was the widow of Robert H. McKay, a former Norfolk school teacher, and later the widow of Alexander Fraser of Caledonia, N.Y. She was a retired librarian at Granby High School and also at Virginia Wesleyan College. She was a member of Ocean View Presbyterian Church, Old Dominion Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Chrysler Museum. Survivors include a son, Robert A. McKay of Huntington, Ind., a daughter, Barbara Lang of Kendall Park, NJ; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at Forest Lawn Cemetery at 11 a.m. Wednesday by the Rev. Arthur F. Jensen. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel handled the arrangements.
