Mary E. Britton

Mary E. Britton, age 7 8 of 143 Murray Street, Mount Morris died Sunday December 10, 2000 at Monroe County Community Hospital in Rochester, NY. She was born the daughter of Roy A. and Catherine (Deisenroth) Prevorce on May 19, 1922 in Dansville, NY. Prior to her retirement in 1977 from Craig Developmental Center in Sonyea where she was a food service attendant for over 29 years and had also worked at the T.B. Hospital in Mount Morris. She was a former member of the Eastern Star of Nunda. She was predeceased by her husband Claude Britton. She is survived by 2 daughters Carol A. Provino and Barbara (Jay) Leone both of Mount Morris. 4 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and many dear friends. Friends may call Tuesday 2-4 & 7-9 at the John W. Martin Funeral Home 37 Chapel Street (Route 408) Mount Morris where funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 am. The Reverend Carin Farmer officiating. Interment Mount Morris Cemetery. Memorials may be made to ones favorite charity.

Evelyn W. Brown

Evelyn W. Brown age 82 of Spring Street, Livonia died Friday December 8, 2000 at the Conesus Lake Nursing Home in Livonia. She was born the daughter of Edgar and Doris Brado Wollaber on September 10, 1918 in Lockport, NY. She was a member of the United Church of Livonia. She was predeceased by her husband Richard April 3, 1994. She is survived by her sons James Paul Quentin Scott of Tampa, Fl., Gerald Brown of Livonia. Grandchildren Tammy (John) Scism, Gerald Jr. and Paul Quentin Scott. Great grandchildren Ashley and Bradley Scism. Sister in law Jane Wallaber of West Virginia. 1 nephew and 2 nieces. Special friend and caregiver Cathy Hamilton of Dansville. No prior calling. Friends may attend a memorial service Saturday January 6, 2001 at the United Church of Livonia at 2 pm with the Rev. Timothy Hazlett officiating. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Springwater. Friends wishing may make memorial contributions to the music committee of the United Church of Livonia. Royal B. McFadden

Royal B. McFadden, 61, of Caledonia, died Dec. 5, 2000, at Strong Memorial Hospital after a long illness. He was born Oct. 17, 1939, to Elijah and Edith (Ferguson) McFadden in Appomattox, Va. Royal was a group leader at Lapp Insulator in LeRoy. He enjoyed fishing, playing guitar, working in his workshop and his yard. Royal enjoyed being with his family. He is survived by his wife Mona of Caledonia; sons and daughters-in-law, Mark and Tammy McFadden of Caledonia, Thomas and Holly McFadden, of LeRoy and David McFadden of Caledonia; daughters and sons-in-law, Janet Miller (Art Boughton) of Nunda, Virginia and Jim Henning of Batavia; son-in-law Steve Warner of Caledonia; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. James Smith; 18 grandchildren; one great granddaughter; sisters and brothers-in-law, Betty (Clinton) Lucado , Faye Lewis, Patricia and Cleve Ellicott; brothers, Joseph McFadden, Bill McFadden, Herbert McFadden, all of Appomattox, Va.; several nieces and nephews. Friends called Friday at the Alhart Funeral Home, 3068 W. Main St. in Caledonia where his funeral service was held Saturday. Interment, Mumford Rural Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family.

Vivienne Ruth LeFevre Strickland

Vivienne LeFevre Strickland of Lima passed on Dec. 1, 2000, at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester. She leaves two sons, John T. Strickland (Lisa Silberborg) and their sons, Matthew and Ben of Geneseo, and Charles L. Strickland (Joanna Kirk) of Nunda; a nephew Scott Carpenter (Karen) of Prattsburg, N.Y., and great niece Leah Carpenter of Rochester. Vivienne was predeceased by her husband Emile B. Strickland and by her sisters, Mildred LeFevre, Edith LeFevre Turner and Ethel LeFevre Carpenter. Vivienne was born in Rochester on Aug. 4, 1917, the daughter of Charles LeFevre and Cala Baldwin LeFevre of McNaughton St. She was the youngest of the four LeFevre sisters and helped in the family bakery until finding employment at the Delco plant in Rochester. She worked as secretary in the personnel office for Emile Strickland, whom she later married. The couple moved temporarily to Utica and finally to New Hartford, N.Y. in 1955, where they remained happily married and raised two sons, Charles and John. Emile predeceased Vivienne in 1975, and she remained in New Hartford until 1998 when she moved to Lima to be closer to her two boys. She was an active member of the First Church of Christ Scientists in New Hartford, serving in the reading room and on the church board. Her two sons, Charles and John, are looking forward to holding a memorial gathering on Jan. 3, 2001 at 11:00 a.m. as a way to celebrate their love for Vivienne with those who knew her best. The memorial gathering will be held at Heintz Funeral Home, 10 East park Row, Clinton, N.Y. (on the Clinton Park Circle). Reference: Kevin W. Dougherty Funeral Home, Livonia.

Franklin C. Templeton

Franklin C. Templeton, 71, a retiree of ELF Autochem of North America Inc. in Piffard, where he worked for 27 years, died Dec. 4, 2000 at Noyes Memorial Hospital in Dansville. He lived at 4631 Church St. in Groveland and was formerly of Greigsville. He is survived by his wife Barbara Ewell Templeton and her family, several cousins. He was born Sept. 26, 1929, in Warsaw, N.Y., the son of Mary Eleanor Templeton. He was a member of the York United Presbyterian Church, Scottish Dancers of Rochester and the Cornell University Audubon Society. Visitation was held at the Rector Hicks Funeral Home, 111 Main St. in Geneseo on Wednesday. Funeral services were held Dec. 6 at the Rector Hicks Funeral Home with Rev. Neil Frood of York United Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial, Pleasant Valley Cemetery in York. Memorials to Groveland Fire Department, P.O. Box 49, Groveland NY 14462.
