Clarence
F. Brown Clarence F. Brown, 83, of South Lima Rd. in Avon, died Nov. 23, 2000, at Highland Hospital in Rochester. He was born the son of George and Anna Marzell Brown on Nov. 27, 1916, in Rochester. He was a World War II Navy veteran and a member of the VFW in Avon. He was a retiree of Eastman Kodak Company in Rochester, retiring in 1971. He was predeceased by his wife Sylvia in 1968. He is survived by his children, Margaret Peggy Brown of Avon, Daniel (Kathleen) Brown of Avon; grandsons, Daniel (Sara) Brown of Bristol, Jeffrey (Ellen) Brown of Lima; great grandson Alex Brown; several nieces, nephews, dear friends and his man's best friend Ben. Friends called Sunday at the Kevin W. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc. Route 15 in Livonia where funeral services were held Monday with the Rev.. Alfreda Morse officiating. James Brown Robert James Brown, 89, a retired chemist for Hubbell Plastics in Newtown, Conn., died Nov. 22, 2000, at Avon Nursing Home in Avon. Mr. Brown had been a resident there since March 1996. He is survived by his nephew Dr. Gregory (Paulette) Liptak of Retsof; a cousin Berton Mortimer of Long Island and their families. He was born April 17, 1911 in Charleston, Ill., the son of George and Jane (Henderson) Brown. He was a graduate of the Rochester Institute of Technology. No prior calling. Memorials may be made to the Rochester Institute of Technology, One Lomb Memorial Dr., Rochester NY 14623. Funeral services will be private. M. Cappadonia Sr. Peter M. Cappadonia Sr., 75, of 18 Bonadonna Ave., Mt. Morris, died Nov. 22, 2000, at his home. He was born the son of Salvatore and Geatana (DeGregorio) Cappadonia on Aug. 21, 1925, in Mt. Morris. Prior to his retirement in 1987 he was employed at the Charles G. May Occupational Center in Mt. Morris for 21 years as a carpentry teacher. He was a member of St. Patrick's Church, the Seymour Chemical Company of Mt. Morris Fire Department where he was past president, Mt. Morris Carnival Committee, the Mt. Morris Library, Retired Teachers Association and a former Mt. Morris Town Councilman. He was a veteran of the Navy during World War II. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Ruthmary (Moore) Cappadonia; 2 children, Peter M. (Cheryl) Cappadonia Jr. of Cortland, N.Y. and Margaret G. (Charles) Hannon of Greece, N.Y.; 6 grandchildren; 2 brothers, Joseph (Angie) Cappadonia of Mt. Morris, Frank (Ellen) Cappadonia of Michigan; 3 sisters, Anna Sacco, Josephine Palermo and Sara Lowery, all of Mt. Morris; 2 brothers-in-law, Joseph Morreale of Rochester and Thomas Moore of Ohio; several nieces, nephews, great and great great nieces and nephews and many dear friends. Friends called Friday at the John W. Martin Funeral Home, 37 Chapel St. in Mt. Morris where prayers were said Saturday followed by his funeral mass at St. Patrick's Church with the Rev. Michael Brown officiating. Interment, St. Patrick's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Mt. Morris Fire Department, Mt. E. Keppen Charlotte E. Keppen, 69, of Nevada, formerly of Lakeville, died Nov. 17, 2000, at Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas. She was born the daughter of Robert and Emma Slocum on March 30, 1931 in Shinglehouse, Pa. She is survived by her husband Clifford Keppen Jr.; children, Dawn Marie McMurtry of Avon, Clifford Keppen of Nunda, Peggy Keppen of Avon, Roy (Alberta) Keppen of Atlanta, N.Y.; 9 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren; sisters, Marjorie Brennan of Fairport, Etta (Newton) Fisher of MI; brother James Slocum of Kentucky; several nieces and nephews. Friends called Friday at the Kevin W. Dougherty Funeral Home Inc., Route 15, Livonia where services followed calling hours with the Rev. George Davis officiating. Pickman, 25, a plumber for Kennedy Plumbing in Rochester, died unexpectedly Saturday, November 25, 2000 at his residence in East Bloomfield, NY. He resided at 8 East Main St. and was previously from Perry, NY. He is survived by his daughter Brittany White of Dansville, mother Kathleen (Jim) Musclow of Perry, father Stephen Pickman of Honeoye, maternal grandfather Joseph Stiner of Rochester, 2 sisters Abbie (Jim) Bennett of Perry, Joclene Musclow of Perry, niece and nephew Katie and Derick Fuller of Perry, many aunts, uncles, and cousins, Special friend Chrys Mayer of Rochester. He was preceded in death by his brother Bryan. He was born December 17, 1974 in Rochester, New York the son of Stephen and Kathleen (Stiner) Pickman. No prior calling hours. In lieu of flowers the family would ask that everyone give your loved ones a hug. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, November 30, 2000 at 11:00 am at St. Mary's Church in Geneseo with Father William Gordinier officiating. Interment will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Perry, NY.
