Thelma E. Arnold

Thelma E. Arnold, 86, formerly of Commercial St. in Livonia, died Oct. 23, 2006 at the home of her daughter in Hemlock. She was born the daughter of Clarence Krisher and Georgia Rennoldson in Rochester Dec. 14, 1919. She was retired from the former Conesus COOP in Lakeville after many years of service. She was a member and past matron of the Livonia Order Chapter of the Eastern Star and a member of the Livonia Grange. She was predeceased by her husband James Arnold and her daughter Cheryl Ann Arnold. She is survived by her children, Theo (Marlene) Arnold of Livonia, Gwen (Michael) Stephens of Hemlock and Dawn Woodburn of Livonia; her grandchildren, Jasen (Carolyn) Stephens, Curtis (Andrea) Stephens, Jeffrey Arnold, Aaron , Justin and Joshua Woodburn; two great grandchildren; her sister, Clarasa Schuster of Dansville; several nieces and nephews. Friends may call Friday, Oct. 27 from 10 a.m. - 12 noon at the Kevin W. Dougherty Funeral Home Inc., Route 15 and 20A in Livonia where Funeral Services will follow calling hours Friday at noon with Rev. Jerry Metz officiating. Burial, Rose Ridge Cemetery in Naples. Memorial contributions may be made to the Livonia Ambulance Fund, the Livonia Fire Department or the Livonia Chapter Order of the Eastern Star.

John Thomas Barrett

Conesus - John Thomas Barrett, 54, died suddenly Oct. 16, 2006 at Noyes Memorial Hospital in Dansville. He was born the son of Walter and Relda Isaac Barrett on Nov. 18, 1951 in Buffalo. He was a truck driver for Prime Time in Buffalo. He is survived by his wife Patricia; sons, Thomas, Jonathan, Walter and Todd Barrett. Friends called Thursday at the Kevin W. Dougherty Funeral Home Inc., Route 15 in Livonia where services were held Friday. Burial, St. Michael's Cemetery in Livonia.

Lorna J. Greenwood

Nurse

Geneseo - Lorna J. Greenwood (Hayward), 75, died Oct. 17, 2006 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester. She was born the daughter of Everett and Aulsa Wemett Hayward on June 26, 1931 in Richmond, N.Y. She volunteered at the Salvation Army, was a member of the Geneseo Garden Club, the Geneseo Senior Citizens, the Retired Nurses Association of Highland Hospital. She was a registered surgical nurse at Highland Hospital. She is survived by her sister, Mrs. Russell (Gladys) Smith of South Lima; her brother Hilton (Elizabeth) Hayward of Honeoye Falls; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. There was no prior calling. Friends attended services Sunday at the United Church of Livonia. Burial, Lakeview Cemetery in Honeoye. Memorials may be made to the Salvation Army, 70 Liberty Pole Way, Rochester NY 14604. Nancy M. Kohler

Conesus resident

Nancy M. Kohler (McGrain), 48, died Oct. 19, 2006 at her home in Conesus after a courageous battle with an illness. She was born the daughter of Albert and Joyce Kohler McGrain on June 25, 1958 in Rochester. She is survived by her loving mother and father, Joyce and Albert McGrain; her grandmother Mildred Kohler; sisters, Debbie (Steve) Zeh, Tammie (Greg) Schwerzler and Dawn (Chris) Burns; brothers, Barry and Bil (Tonia) McGrain. Nancy loved spending time with her many nieces and nephews, Shawn (Kim), Kyle, Corey, Amanda, Gregory, Tyler, Meghan, Emily, Jennifer, Michelle, Brittany, Stephanie, Christopher, Carrie, Barry III, Brianna, Alyssa and William II; her aunts Joan, Joanie (Joe), Kelly (Jeff) and her favorite cousin Toddy. Her smile and laughter will be truly missed. No prior calling. Friends attended services Tuesday at the Conesus United Methodist Church, Route 15 in Conesus with reception following. Elizabeth J. Mulligan

Livonia - Elizabeth J. Mulligan, 78, died Oct. 17, 2006 at her home. She was born Dec. 15, 1927 in Rochester. She worked at ITEK Graphics in Rochester. She is survived by her children, Patricia (Andrew) Ingerick, James Mulligan and Michael (Debbie) Mulligan; five grandchildren. No prior calling. Friends attended services Tuesday at the Kevin W. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., Route 15 in Livonia.

Dorothy A. Parks

Retsof resident

Dorothy A. Parks, 87, a lifelong resident of Retsof, died Oct. 18, 2006 at the Livingston County Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation in Mt. Morris. She is survived by her husband, Paul J. Parks; daughter Paulette (Randy Tubiolo) DeMauro of Lakeville; two granddaughters, Jennifer Burch and Jacquelyn (Les) Jackson; great grandchildren, Dakota Burch, Christopher and Justin Jackson; brother-in-law Buddy Parks of York; sister-in-law Alice Parker of Retsof; many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her sister Katherine Martin and brother Edward Parker. She was born Aug. 20, 1919 in Retsof the daughter of George and Margaret Hutchinson Parker. She attended Greigsville High School and graduated from York Central School in 1939. Mrs. Parks was retired from the U.S. Postal Service having served as Postmaster in Retsof for over 16 years. Visitation was held Friday at the Rector-Hicks Funeral Home, 111 Main St. in Geneseo. Funeral Mass was held Oct. 21 at St. Lucy's Church in Retsof. Burial, St. Mary's Cemetery in Geneseo. John H. Rivers

World War II veteran

John H. Rivers, 81, of Caledonia, died Oct. 18, 2006 at the LeRoy Village Green Nursing Home. He was born to John W. and Melinda Rivers on July 20, 1925 in Rochester. He served in World War II and was a member of the American Legion. Mr. Rivers retired from Eastman Kodak Company, and was a member of the Caledonia Fire Department, Caledonia-Mumford Lions Club and the Moose Club of LeRoy. He is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and John Preston of Albion, Karen and Edward Warren Jr. of Spencerport; son, John M. Rivers of Caledonia; grandchildren, Stacy (Daryl) Dambaugh, Dennis and Michael Warren and Carl Rivers; sisters, Carolyn Flavin, Mary (James) Hart, Nancy (Robert) Parker; brother, Thomas (Ann) Rivers, all of Rochester. His wife Dorothy predeceases Mr. Rivers. Friends called Oct. 20 at the Alhart Funeral Home, 3068 W. Main St. in Caledonia where his Funeral Service was held Saturday, Oct. 21. Stella A. White

Retired school teacher

Livonia - Stella A. White, 76, died Oct. 19, 2006 at Noyes Memorial Hospital in Dansville. She was born the daughter of Nicholas and Anna Ferne Antoszyk on Aug. 16, 1930 in Hastings on the Hudson. She was a retired school teacher of Livonia Central School, previously taught at Wayland Central School, was a member of the Conlon-Mulvaney American Legion Auxiliary, the NYS Retired Teachers Association and was a former Brownie Leader. She is survived by her husband William; children, Pam (Tony) Brewer of Scotia, N.Y., Nancy Gleason or Rochester; three grandchildren, Matthew, Theresa and Melanie Brewer; brother, Dr. Nicholas Antoszyk of Charlotte, N.C.; nieces and nephews. Friends called Sunday at the Kevin W. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., Route 15, Livonia where services were held Monday. Burial, Union Cemetery in Livonia.
