Donald A. Frazo

Donald A. Frazo, 77, of Caledonia, died Sept. 29, 2001 at LeRoy Village Green, LeRoy after a short illness. Donald was born July 12, 1924 in Caledonia to Dominic and Catherine (Skelly) Frazo. He was a World War II Army veteran and a member of the American Legion. He retired after 42 years of service on the Genesee and Wyoming Railroad. He was an avid baseball player as a young man and continued his love of all sports, especially Cal-Mum Red Raiders football. He is survived by three sisters, Edith Stella of LeRoy, Helen Majka of Niagara Falls and Grace Pike of Amherst; two nieces, Charlene (Ken) Sayers and Sally (Joe) Santora; several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. He is predeceased by his mother and father; brothers, Andrew, Vernon, Alvin Frazo; and sister Kate Samis. Friends called Monday at the Alhart Funeral Home, 3068 W. Main St., Caledonia. A Funeral Mass was held Tuesday at St. Columba Church, North St., Caledonia. Interment, St. Columba Cemetery. Contributions may be made to Hospice Family Care, 550 E. Sylvia T. Howe

Sylvia T. Howe, 69, a retired reading teacher at Dansville Central School, died Thursday, January 11, 2001 in Bradenton, Fla. Mrs. Howe was formerly of Geneseo. She is survived by one daughter Laura Howe of Nunda; two sons, Jesse (Shannon) Howe of Lansdale, Pa. and Buddy (Lori) Howe of Mt. Morris; grandchildren, Richard and Evelyn Howe, KC Howe and her faithful companion “Willa”. She was preceded in death by her husband Richard Howe on Nov. 19, 1973, who she married Aug. 15, 1953. She was born April 18, 1931, in Peekskill, N.Y. the daughter of Andrew and Elizabeth (Wilson) Phillips. She was a 1953 graduate of Geneseo State Teachers College. Memorials may be made to Teresa House, 21 Highland Road, Geneseo NY 14454. No prior calling hours. Graveside services will be held Saturday, Oct. 6, 2001 at 11:00 a.m. at Temple Hill Cemetery in Geneseo with the Rev. Mark Lattime of St. Michael's Episcopal Church officiating.

Richard H. Jordan

Richard H. Jordan, 74, of Cole Road, Conesus, died Sept. 21, 2001 at St. Luke's Memorial Hospital Center in New Hartford, N.Y. He was born the son of Llewellyn and Ethel Moreshed Jordan on Sept. 24, 1926 in Westwood, Mass. He was a member of the American Legion, V.F.W., a life member of the Livonia Fire Department where he was past president and captain. He was a member of the Destroyer Escort Sailors Association. He was a Demitted Mason, past Moose member, past member of the Livingston County Traffic Board and was Town of Livonia Assessor for two years. He was a World War II United States Coast Guard Veteran. He is survived by his sister Glenna Smith of Vermont; several nieces and nephews and many dear friends. Graveside service will be held Oct. 6 at 12 noon at Union Cemetery, Big Tree Road in Livonia with the Rev. George Davis officiating. Elizabeth M. McCagg

Elizabeth M. McCagg, 93, of Rochester, formerly of Livonia died Sept. 25, 2001 at Highland Hospital in Rochester. She was born the daughter of Bert and Edith Smith Webster on March 28, 1908 in Albion, N.Y. She was a member of the United Church of Livonia. She is survived by her children, Raymond (Donna) McCagg of Mendon, Frances (John) Wheeler of North Carolina, Elaine (Terry) Fowler of Penfield; six grandchildren and five great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Friends called Friday at the Kevin W. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., Route 15, Livonia, where services followed calling with the Rev. Tim Hazlett officiating. Burial, Garland Cemetery, Clarkson, N.Y. In lieu of flowers friends wishing may make memorial contributions to the United Church of Livonia.

Alice B. Reynolds

Alice B. Reynolds, 92, a retired teacher for the Glens Falls School District, in Glens Falls, N.Y., died Sept. 29, 2001 at her residence, 45 Center St. in Geneseo. She had previously resided in Warrensburg, N.Y. She is survived by her daughter Diane (Robert) Armbruster of Geneseo with whom she resided; stepson J.D. (Diane) Reynolds of Lake Placid, N.Y.; three grandsons, Rob Armbruster of Arlington, Va.. Kevin Armbruster of San Diego, Calif., Brian Armbruster of Geneseo; several step grandchildren and step great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband John O. Reynolds on Dec. 6, 1996. She was born Nov. 7, 1908, in Amsterdam, N.Y., the daughter of Charles and Barbara (Schmidt) Belfance. She was a 1929 graduate of Oneonta State Teachers College, taught in the Amsterdam City School District and retired from the Glens Falls School District. Visitation was held at the Rector-Hicks Funeral Home, 111 Main St. in Geneseo on Oct. 1. Funeral services were held Oct. 2 at Northville Funeral Service, 401 Bridge St., Northville, N.Y. Burial, King Cemetery, Northville, N.Y. Memorials may be made to the Geneseo Ambulance Fund, Box 428, Geneseo NY 14454.

Mark J. Schuster Jr.

Mark J. Schuster Jr., 17, of Liberty Pole Road, Dansville, died Sept. 30, 2001 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester.  He was born the son of Mark and Margaret Tschiderer Schuster on Sept. 25, 1984, in Rochester. Markie was a Junior at Dansville Central School where he was on the Varsity Football Team and was a Jr. Fire Fighter in the Sparta Volunteer Fire Department. He was predeceased by his sister Mischon. He is survived by his parents, Mark and Margaret Schuster; sisters, Meghan and Morgan Schuster and his brother Matthias Schuster, all of Sparta; grandparents, Vincent (Patricia) Schuster of Livonia, Jane (Thomas) Francis of Texas, Martha (Paul) Pfuntner of Geneseo; great grandmother Esther Whalen of Clarence; several aunts, uncles, cousins and many dear friends. Calling hours Wednesday, 1-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at the Kevin W. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., Route 15, Livonia. Funeral Mass, Thursday 2:30 p.m. at St. Mary's Church in Dansville. Burial, St. Michael's Cemetery, Livonia. In lieu of flowers memorials to the Mark J.
