David W. Baier

Carpenter

David W. Baier, 49, a self employed carpenter specializing in staircases and trim work, died Sept. 10, 2004 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester after complications from a bicycle accident. Mr. Baier resided on North Sutton Road in Conesus. He is survived by his two sons, Luke and Ian Baier; parents, Howard and Linda Baier of Jamison, Pa.; two brothers, James (Ann) Baier of Morristown, N.J., William (Dee) Baier of Quakertown, Pa.; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was born Nov. 16, 1954 in Arlington, Mass. the son of Howard and Linda Lord Baier. No prior calling hours. A Celebration of David's Life will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday Sept. 25 at THE FARM, 3030 Brighton-Henrietta Town Line Road. Victoria Barrett- Wilson

Avon resident

Victoria Barrett-Wilson, 46, of Avon died Sept. 18, 2004 surrounded by her family at Strong Memorial Hospital. She was born Jan. 25, 1958 in Canandaigua to Arthur J. and Joan Barrett. Victoria was a spiritual woman who helped other people in need. She was devoted to her husband, and family. Victoria enjoyed floral designing, photography, nature, horseback riding and walks. She is survived by her loving husband, Ricky Wilson; mother and father, Joan and Arthur Barrett; step-children, Colby and Zachary Wilson; sisters, Patti Webb, Connie Ryan, Linda (Tom) Freeman, Sandy (Jim) Schillinger and Betsy (Lyle) Findlay; brothers, Bill (Maria), Jim (Patti), Chris (Heidi) Barrett; mother-in-law Anna Wilson; brothers-in-law, Steve (Teri) Wilson, Owen Rambow and Michael Wilson; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Her sister, Judy Barrett predeceased Victoria. We loved you Victoria, but God loved you best, rest, rest, rest in peace. Friends called Tuesday followed by her Memorial Service at the Stephenson-Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 350 Genesee St., Avon. A private interment was held at St. Agnes Cemetery. Shirley R. Budd

Security Trust retiree

Shirley R. Budd, 67, a retired administrator for Security Trust Company in Rochester, died Sept. 17, 2004 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester. Mrs. Budd resided on Middle Road in Rush and was a native of Geneseo. She is survived by her husband Howard F. Budd with whom she resided; stepson Howard (Louise) Budd II of Rochester; brother James (Carolyn) Culbertson of Indianapolis, Ind.; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father Samuel Culbertson and her mother Ruth “Mickey” Culbertson. She was born June 2, 1937 in Geneseo, the daughter of Samuel and Ruth (Rowley) Culbertson. No prior calling hours. Memorial services will be held at a time and place to be announced by Rector-Hicks Funeral Home in Geneseo.

Lorraine O. Cuccia

World War II Air Force veteran

Lorraine O. Cuccia, 80, of Clear View Dr. in Geneseo, died Sept. 18, 2004 at Highland Hospital in Rochester. She is survived by her husband Sam; her six children, Angela (Mark) Elfman of California, Paula Nicholson of North Caroline, Tini Lynn (Jim) Cunningham of North Carolina, Val (Ron) Gleason of Victor, Tina (Tim) Haney of Piffard, Sam (Kelli) Cuccia of Texas; 17 grandchildren; six great grandchildren; sister Carol Brant of Geneseo; two brothers, Ed (Marion) Nordquist of South Dakota, Dale (Joyce) Nordquist of Minnesota; nieces and nephews. She was born Sept. 26, 1923 in LaBolt, South Dakota, the daughter of Ed and Alida (Larson) Nordquist. She was a member of St. Mary's Church in Geneseo. She was a World War II U.S. Air Force veteran. Visitation was held at the Rector-Hicks Funeral Home, 111 Main St. in Geneseo on Tuesday. Funeral Mass was held Sept. 21 at St. Mary's Church with Father Daniel McMullin officiating. Burial, St. Mary's Cemetery in Geneseo.

Arlene G. Gerringer

Tuscarora resident

Arlene G. Gerringer, 84, of 7981 Main St., Tuscarora (Mt. Morris), died peacefully at her home on Sept. 15, 2004. She was born the daughter of Fred and Ruth Foote on July 8, 1920 in Ischua, N.Y. Prior to her retirement she was employed as a secretary for Nortel Networks in Rochester and for the Livingston County Office of the Aging in Mt. Morris. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Tuscarora. She is survived by two daughters, Sandy (Jack) Cheape of Myrtle Beach, S.C. and Vivian (Tom) Houghton of Scottsdale, Ariz.; seven grandchildren and several great grandchildren; many dear and loving friends. No prior calling. Memorial services to be held at a later date. Interment, Tuscarora Memorial Garden. Memorials may be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Tuscarora. Arrangements by the John W. William McBride Gray

Geneseo resident

William McBride Gray, 80, a life-long resident of Geneseo, died Sept. 17, 2004 at Noyes Memorial Hospital in Dansville. Mr. Gray resided on Lakeville-Groveland Road in Geneseo where since 1947 he ran a crop farm and raised both sheep and cattle. He is survived by his wife Gertrude Stewart Gray; children, Susan (Roy) Teitsworth of Geneseo, Cindy (Chuck) Wolcott of Rush, Robert (Anna) Gray of McKinney, Texas; grandchildren, Kathryn (Stephen) Maloney, Kerry and Jesse Teitsworth; great granddaughter Sky Paige; brother Huey (Joan) Gray of Irondequoit; sisters, Martha Commiskey of N. Ft. Myers, Fla., Peggy (Michael) Collins of N. Ft. Myers, Fla; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother Alfred Gray. He was born March 5, 1924 on Pole Bridge Road in Geneseo, son of Cecil and Mary Young Gray. Bill served the Town of Geneseo as Highway Superintendent for 15 years. He also maintained a milk truck route for over 25 years. Visitation was held at the Rector-Hicks Funeral Home, 111 Main St. in Geneseo on Sunday. Funeral Services were held Sept. 20 at Groveland Federated Parish with Pastors Sally Glassbrook of the Groveland Federated Parish and Michael Maloney of the Lima Baptist Church officiating. George L. Leboo

World War II veteran

George L. Leboo, “Grandpa,” 80, of East Main St. in Honeoye, died Sept. 18, 2004 at the Canandaigua VA. George was very well known in the Honeoye area for many years. He was a World War II veteran. He is predeceased by his wife Matie. He is survived by his children, Sheryal (Jim) Volpe, Coralyn (Victor) Wahlberg; grandchildren, Jamie Volpe, Jon (Nicole) Volpe, Adrian (Tim) Thurley, Dorian (John) Savino; great grandchildren, Joey Volpe, Elizabeth Volpe, Megan Thurley; sisters, Mae Probst and Virginia Relyea; several nieces, nephews and special friends, Lewis and Pat Levesque and the people in the town of Honeoye. Friends called Monday at the Kevin W. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., Briggs St. in Honeoye. His Funeral Service was held Tuesday at the Honeoye United Church of Christ with the Rev. Brian Krause officiating. Burial, St. John's Cemetery in Spencerport. In lieu of flowers friends wishing may make memorial contributions to the Richmond Volunteer Ambulance Fund, Honeoye NY.

Collin Jordan Mercado

Collin Jordan Mercado, 3, of Nunda/Mt. Morris died suddenly Sept. 17, 2004 at Noyes Memorial Hospital in Dansville. He was born the son of Victor and Tosha (Carney) Mercado on April 21, 2001 in Dansville. His interests where fishing and hunting. He is survived by his father Victor of Nunda and mother Tosha of Mt. Morris; sister Jasmine Mercado of Nunda/Mt. Morris; paternal grandparents, Victor and Sandra Mercado of Batavia, maternal grandparents Kim Carney and Steven Richards of Dansville; maternal great grandparents, Shirley and Walter Barnhardt of Dansville; three aunts, Antoinette Mercado of Retsof, Maria (Rich) Goodman of Mt. Morris, Patricia Carney of Dansville; one uncle Robert Carney of Dansville; several great aunts and great uncles, cousins and many dear and loving friends. Friends may call Thursday from 6-8 at the John W. Martin Funeral Home, 37 Chapel St. (Route 408), Mt. Morris. Funeral Services to be held Friday at 12 noon at the United Church of Mt. Morris. Mary A. Metcalf

Mary A. Metcalf, 89, of Lake Glen Dr., Livonia, died Sept. 19, 2004 at the Conesus Lake Nursing Home in Livonia. She was born the daughter of Joseph and Alice Fuller on May 28, 1915 in Arcade, N.Y. She was predeceased by her husband Claude in 1968. She is survived by her son Ronald of Livonia; six grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. No prior calling. Services are to be private. Joshua D. Price

Former Livonia resident

Joshua D. Price, 23, of Rochester, formerly of Livonia, died suddenly Sept. 18, 2004 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester. Beloved son and our shining star. He was born the son of Daniel and Rebecca DeClerck Price on Jan. 20, 1981 in Rochester. Josh was an avid rock climber and enjoyed the outdoors. He was employed at the Sisters of Mercy in Rochester. He is survived by his mother Rebecca (Lari Whiting) Price of Livonia; father Daniel (Joyce) Price of Canaseraga; sisters, Dianna (Ed) Roniger of Clarington, N.Y., Michelle Price of Jay, N.Y.; stepbrother Thomas Linzy of Dansville; maternal grandmother Eleanor DeClerck of Livonia; paternal grandmother Marian Price of South Lima; his soul mate Beth Pastina of Ronkonkoma, N.Y.; aunts and uncles, Suzette (William) Sand of Lancaster, Ohio, Annette (Rodney) Clements of Livonia, David (Bonnie) Price of NB, Carol (John) Miller of East Avon, James Price of Dansville, Debbie (Kelly) Sutterlin of Ormal, N.Y.; several cousins and many friends. Frank Riggi

Frank Riggi, 71, of Caledonia, died Sept. 9, 2004 at the Teresa House, Geneseo. He was born June 16, 1933 in Ferentino, Italy. Frank retired from Lapp Insulators, LeRoy as a Kiln Operator. He enjoyed gardening and mowing the lawn on his tractor. Frank was a member of St. Columba Church. He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Frances; children, Victoria Hinkel , Frank (Lisa) Riggi, Rosemary (Edward) Knudsen; grandchildren, Christopher and Jennifer Hinkel, Jessica, Joshua and Justice Riggi and Stephanie Knudsen; brother, Glauco (Mary) Riggi; sisters-in-law, Ferminia Creaco, Kanani Creaco; brother-in-law, Dan (Dawn) Creaco; several nieces and nephews. His mother and father, Rosa and Giovanni Riggi, brother, Costantino Riggi, son-in-law, Duane Hinkel and brother-in-law, Peter Creaco predeceased Frank.
