Mary G. Belanger

Mary G. Belanger, 90 of LaPetite Trailer Court, Wayland passed away July 16th at the home of her son Phillip (Audrey) Belanger. Mary was born July 18, 1911 in Caribou, Maine, the daughter of Joseph and Emma LaBell. She spent her early years in Caribou until moving to Wayland where she resided for the past 62 years. Mary was married in Caribou, ME to Eddie Belanger. she was employed at the Birdseye Division of General Foods Corp. in Wayland and was a communicant of St. Joseph's Church. Mary is predeceased by her husband Eddie in 1953; infant children Harold and Marie; son Joseph; grandsons James, Jerome and Robert; sisters Mabel Stephens, Doris Dube and Pauline Palmer; brothers Joseph LaBell and Edward (Jack) LaBell; and sister-in-law Fern LaBell. Mary is survived by two sons, Edward (Joan) Belanger of Wayland and Phillip (Audrey) Belanger of Wayland; one daughter Betty (Thomas) Beard of Lakeville, NY; one daughter-in-law; Genene Belanger Pulver of Wayland; two sisters Catherine (Eva) Hanson of Wayland and Mena (Wilbur) Brewster of Caribou, ME; one brother Wilson LaBell of Wayland; one sister-in-law, Irish LaBell of Wayland; 15 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; several nieces and nephews. Friends called Friday at the St. George-Stanton Funeral Home. A prayer service was performed Saturday followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph's Catholic Church Wayland. Interment at St. Joseph's Cemetery. Contributions in Mary's name may be made to the Vincent house, 310 Second Avenue, Wayland, NY 14572.

Elizabeth (Betty) Blum

Elizabeth (Betty) Blum, 79, formerly of 104 West Naples St., Wayland, passed away Tuesday July 23, 2002 in Stone Mountain, Georgia. Betty was born February 20, 1923 in Wayland, the daughter of William and Cecilia Hemmer Klein. Betty resided most of her entire life in Wayland except for a few years in the New York City area and the past six years in Stone Mountain, Georgia. Betty was predeceased by her husband J. Robert Blum in 1961. Betty is survived by her daughter Stacy (Matthew) Glavin of Alpharetta, Georgia; her son Jay (Sara) Blum of Burlington, Vermont; three grandchildren, Christopher Glavin, Sean Glavin and Carolyn Blum. Friends attended Betty's Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Monday in St. Joseph's Catholic Church of Wayland. A committal service immediately followed in St. Joseph's Cemetery of Wayland.

Sophia H. Blum “Sue”

Sophia H. Blum “Sue” age 86 of Jupiter Florida, formerly of Livonia, NY died Wednesday July 24, 2002 at her home in Jupiter FL. She was born the daughter of Michael Matilda Pinter Herman on July 16, 1916 in Rochester NY. She was predeceased by her husband George in 1981. She is survived by her children Phyllis (Robert) Stock of Penfield, NY and James (April) Blum of Livonia, NY, grandchildren Michael and Christopher Stock and Kelsi Blum, brother Michael Herman of Rochester, NY and sister Mary Brady Kitchen of New Jersey, several nieces and nephews. No prior calling. Friends attended a Memorial Mass at St. Joseph's Church, with Rev. John H. Hayes officiating. Timothy F. Bruce “Budda”

Timothy F. Bruce “Budda” age 43 of Avon formerly of Honeoye died July 25, 2002 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY. He was born the son of Robert and Thelma White Bruce on January 8, 1959 in Canandaigua, NY. Goodbye my beloved brother, may you finally be at peace. He is survived by his step children Heather Robinson, Heath Robinson, granddaughter Victoria, best friend and companion Ottis. Brother Truman (Rose) Bruce, David (Lindy) Bruce, Christopher (Marilyn) Bruce, sisters Peggy (Edwards) Farrell, Rose (Robert) Flood, several nieces and nephews. No prior calling. Mary K. Didas

Mary K. Didas, age 88 of Honeoye Falls, formerly of Livonia died Monday July 22, 2002 at Highland Hospital in Rochester. She was born the daughter of Harvey and Frances Grimes Goodell on July 5, 1914 in Groveland, NY. She was a member of St. Joseph's Church in Livonia. She was predeceased by her husband Joseph and her daughter Carol Crocetta. She is survived by her daughter Glenda (William) Jenkins, her grandchildren Robert (Lisa) Jenkins and Jennifer (Daniel) Vukosic, 2 great grandsons Ryan and Corey, son in law Joseph Crocetta, several nieces and nephews. Friends called Thursday at the Kevin W. Dougherty Funeral Home. The funeral mass was held Friday at St. Joseph's Church, with Rev. John H. Hayes officiating. Elizabeth J. Feathers

Elizabeth J. Feathers, 65, died Thursday, July 18, 2002 at her residence on Peoria Rd. in Leicester. She was predeceased by her husband Donald in June of 1982. She is survived by her children David Feathers of Sumner, WA, Dee Warner of Norfolk, VA, Donald (Gail) Feathers of York, Daniel Feathers of Cortland, Elizabeth (Robert) Zuidema of Gainesville, NY, Susan (Norman) DuFrense of FL, Timothy (Laura) Feathers of Caledonia, Sandra (Michael) Knapp of York, Beverly Feathers of Leicester, Tina (Bruce) Mcnaugh of Franklin, TN; 16 grandchildren, brother Jack Ketwig of Rochester, sisters Francis Foss of Greece and Rosemary Miller of FL. She was born August 24, 1936 in Rochester, NY the daughter of John and Amelia (Ehrmentraut) Ketwig. She married the late Donald Feathers Jr. on January 23, 1954. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society, 1400 Winton Rd. North, Rochester, NY 14609. Graveside services were held July 20, 2002 at Lakeview Cemetery in Groveland with Rev. Nancy Overgard of Union Presbyterian Church in Leicester officiating.

James A. Gallo

James A. Gallo, 92 died July 23, 2002 at Batavia Veterans Hospital in Batavia, NY. Mr. Gallo lived on Church St. in Leroy and had previously resided in Syracuse and Retsof, NY. He is survived by his brother Nicholas (Mildred) Gallo of Scottsville, NY, several nieces and nephews, special friends Marie Sakellariou and Helen Cummings both of Leroy. He was born September 13, 1909 in Retsof, NY the son of Carmen and Rosalyn (Argenna) Gallo. He served in the Army during World War II enlisting on November 23, 1942 and was discharged on September 17, 1945. He was one of eleven founding members of the Northwood Hunting Club in Leroy. He was a mason by trade but had worked for Leroy Coal Storage as well as McPherson's Orchards in Leroy. No prior calling hours. Memorials may be made to St. Thomas/ St. Lucy's Parish, PO Box 195, Leicester, NY 14481. Funeral mass was held at St. Lucy's Church in Retsof with Father George Okoth officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Geneseo with Military Honors.

Anita W. Hagan

Anita W. Hagan, 86, a lifelong resident of Geneseo, died July 16, 2002 at the Livingston County Skilled Nursing Facility in Geneseo. Mrs. Hagan had been a resident at Alpine Manor in Lima prior to her entry into the S.N.F. and resided on Avon Rd. in Geneseo prior to that. She is survived by her two daughters Pam (David) Sekula of Cohocton, Marge (Bob) Stuver of Pittsford, six granddaughters Laura Fitzgerald, Deborah Culver, Barbara Swanson, Theresa (Randy) Ottmon, Christine (Jeff) Rich and Maureen (Tom) Jerge, five great grandchildren, brother James (Amelia) Wheeler of Montgomery, AL, several nieces, nephews and cousins including Ruth (Kenneth) Hadcock. She was preceded in death by her husband John “Jack” Hagan in 1997. She was born July 29, 1915 in Geneseo, the daughter of Anslem and Edith (Nixon) Wheeler. She was a member of St. Mary's Church and the Livingston County Republican Committee. She graduated from the Geneseo Normal School in 1937 and returned to SUNY Geneseo where she earned her Bachelor's Degree in 1960. She was an accomplished craftsperson with extraordinary skills in knitting, crocheting, hooking, braiding rugs and refinishing antiques. Memorials may be made to Golisano Children's Hospital, 300 East River Rd., Rochester, NY 14627. Funeral Mass was held July 19, 2002 at St. Mary's Church in Geneseo with Father Thomas Hoctor officiating. Burial in St. Mary's Cemetery, Geneseo.

Charles W. Harrison

Charles W. Harrison, 64, of Cohocton, passed away July 21, 2002 at Strong Memorial Hospital, Rochester, NY, after a long illness. Charles was born February 5, 1938 in Shongo, NY, the son of William and Vada Graves Harrison. He was a resident of Whitesville, NY prior to moving to the Cohocton area where he has resided for the past 35 years. Charles retired from the Pollyo Dairy Products Company of Campbell, NY in 1990. Most recently he has been employed as a bartender. Charles married Drew Hamilton in Hornell, NY on December 5, 1980. Charles was a member of the Conservation Club in Cohocton and was also a past member of the Cohocton Lions Club. Charles in predeceased by one brother, Harold Harrison. Charles is survived by his wife, Drew Hamilton Harrison of Cohocton; one daughter Kathleen Hamilton of Cohocton; four sons, William Hamilton of Wayland, Daniel Hamilton of Fonda, NY, Terrance Hamilton of Cohocton, Brian Hamilton of Wayland, NY; one brother, Earl (Nye) Harrison of Loche, NY; three sisters, Wilma (Charles) Waters of Woodhull, NY, Jean Fanton of Wellsville, NY and Sarah Waters of Wellsville, NY; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Pius Church, Cohocton, NY. Internment will immediately follow at St. Pius Cemetery, Cohocton. Virginia W. Huber

Virginia W. Huber age 76 of Country Lane, Geneseo died suddenly July 20, 2002 at the Arbor Hill Care Center, Rochester, NY. She was born the daughter of Curtis and Dorinda Fridd Wynn on December 22, 1925 in Rochester, NY. She was predeceased by her husband Leonard in 1987. She is survived by her children Nancy Corbett of Conesus, Dorinda (Brent) Davidson of Livonia, Barbara Guilday of Rochester, grandchildren Heidi, Wendy, Kristen, Kevin and Alex, great grandchildren Nathan and Joshua. No prior calling. Friends attended a service at the At Water Chapel, West Lake Road, Geneseo, with the Rev. Mark Lattime officiating. Elmer J. Kettenburg

Elmer J. Kettenburg, 94, a retired crane operator at Eastman Kodak in Rochester, died July 24, 2002 at the Teresa House in Geneseo, NY. Mr. Kettenburg resided on Long Point Rd. in Geneseo. He is survived by his wife Margaret Forsythe Kettenburg of Geneseo, daughter Shirley Goodbar of Rochester, son Richard (Audrey) Kettenburg of Hilton Head, SC, granddaughter Tracy (Dr. Curtis) Margerum of Stafford, VA, two great grandchildren, three nephews. He was born March 29, 1908 in Parma, NY the son of Charles and Carrie Kettenburg. He retired in 1970 from Eastman Kodak Co after 42 years of service. Visitation was held at the Rector-Hick Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Teresa House, 21 Highland Rd, Geneseo, NY 14454 or Geneseo Ambulance Fund, PO Box 428, Geneseo, NY 14454. Charles d. LePome

Charles d. LePome of Lakeville, died July 17, 2002 suddenly at age 49. He was born the son of Domonic and Evelyn Riccioni LePome on August 9, 1952 in Rochester, NY. He was a long time area potato farmer and later started a business called LePome Inc. in Honeoye. He is survived by his wife Julie, his son Staff Sgt. Charles D. (Kris) LePome USMC stationed in Camp Pendleton, CA, two grandchildren Kurtis and Kole LePome, father Domonic (Sondra) LePome of Texas, brother Frank LePome of Reno, NV, step brother Jerry Nebbia of CA, several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends called at the Kevin W. Dougherty Funeral Home. Funeral mass was held at St. Joseph's Church with Rev. John H. Hayes officiating. Ronald A. Meese

Ronald A. Meese, 72 of 91 Maple Ave., Cohocton passed away July 20, 2002, at the Bath Veterans Administration Medical Center after a long illness. Ronald was born May 25, 1930 in Avoca, NY the son of Leroy and Hazel Rosenberger Meese. He resided all his life in the Cohocton area and was a graduate of Cohocton Central School. Ronald is a veteran of the US Army and he served his country during the Korean Conflict. Subsequent to serving his country, Ronald graduated from Brockport State in 1955. He was employed at Bath Western Auto and later operated the Kiefer Milling Company in Cohocton until he retired due to failing health. Ronald was a communicant of St. Pius Catholic Church in Cohocton , was a member of the Cohocton American Legion Post and also a member of the Veterans of Foreign War in Bath. Ronald is predeceased by his father Leroy in 1969 and his mother Hazel in 1998. Ronald is survived by one sister Mary Meese of Cohocton, two brothers, Richard (Patricia) Meese of Rush and Lee (Patricia) Meese of Irving, TX, one aunt, June Kovacs of Navarre, OH, three nephews, two nieces, one great nephew and many cousins. Friends called at the St. George-Stanton Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial was performed at St. Pius Catholic Church, Cohocton. Interment will immediately follow at St. Pius Cemetery, Cohocton. Carl G. Morsch

Carl G. Morsch, 82 of Wayland passed away July 15, 2002 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, New York. Carl was born December 20, 1919 in Wayland, the son of John and Mae Schwan Morsch and was a life resident of Wayland. He married the former Aletha Gessner October 18, 1947 at Sacred Heart Church in Perkinsville. He was a graduate of the University of Illinois. He served in the Merchant Marine Service during WWII and owned and operated Morsch Motors with his brother James for over 35 years. A Communicant of St. Joseph's Church. Predeceased by his two brothers, Louis in 1999 and James in 2001. He is survived by his wife, Aletha; three daughters, Barbara (James) Hayes of Birmingham, MI, Peggy Morsch (Kathy Herson) of Milwaukee, WI, and Laurie Morsch of Hartford, CT; two sons, John (Ann) Morsch of Fairport, and William (Rhonda) Morsch of Rochester; 8 grandchildren, Andrew, Mark, Brady and Christian Hayes, Mathew and Jeffrey Morsch, Emma and Libby Morsch; a sister-in-law Rita Morsch of Sanford, NC, several nieces and nephews. Friends called last week at the St. George-Stanton Funeral Home. A prayer service was conducted followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Wayland. Elizabeth H. Murchison

Elizabeth H. Murchison, age 93 passed peacefully on July 20, 2002 at the Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester. She was born the daughter of Henry and Emma Hueber on November 25, 1908 in France. She was a member of Lakeville United Church of Christ where she was a choir member. She was predeceased by her husband John Murchison. She is survived by her children Carole (Michael) Fici, Alex (Judy) Murchison, John (Marilee) Murchison, dear companion Joseph Fici, 16 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. No prior calling. Friends attended a chapel service at the Chapel of the Elms at Elm Lawn Cemetery, Tonawanda, NY. A service of Celebration was held at the Lakeville United Church of Christ with the Rev. Lauri Craig officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Lakeville United Church of Christ.

Bertha A. Norsen

Bertha A. Norsen, 93, died July 19, 2002 at the F.F. Thompson Continuing Care Center in Canandaigua, NY. She was born the daughter of Elmer and Minnie Mitchell Shetler on December 18, 1908 in Honeoye, NY. She was a member of the Honeoye Eastern Star, the Wayside Seekers of the Bloomfield, Honeoye, Allens Hill area. A member of the Allens Hill Methodist Church. She was predeceased by her husband George in 1980. She is survived by her son George (Christine) Norsen of Scottsville, grandsons Greg (Pat) Norsen of Caledonia, Scott (Barb) Norsen of CO, Stephen Norsen of Henrietta, four grandchildren and a sister Marjory Alger of Canandaigua. Also care giver and loving companion Carol Rowley of Honeoye, several nieces and nephews. No prior calling. Friends attended a memorial service July 22, 2002 at the Allens Hill Methodist Church. Burial Union Cemetery in Livonia. In lieu of flowers, friends wishing may make memorial contributions to the Allens Hill Methodist Church or the Richmond Ambulance Fund.

Robert W. Robinson

Robert W. Robinson, 80 of Conesus, died July 20, 2002 at the Livingston County Skilled Nursing Facility in Geneseo. He was born the son of William and Marjorie Stokoe Robinson on March 24, 1922 in Rochester, NY. He was a Army Veteran and a retiree of Foster Wheeler Corp. in Dansville. He is survived by his sisters Joan Emery of Conesus and Lt. Comm. Dorothy Robinson of South Carolina. Aunt, Edna Shaner of Gorham, several nieces. No prior calling. Friends attended a memorial service at the Kevin W. Dougherty Funeral Home with the Rev. John Hayes officiating. Mary (Perna) Russo

Mrs. Mary Russo of Worcester, MA, formerly of Caledonia, passed away July 12, 2002 after a long illness. She leaves her husband Patsy Russo, daughters Cindy Russo and Kathy (Peter) Rodrigues both of MA; 3 sisters, Kathryn Mandelaro, Virginia (Peter) Ferazoli of Caledonia, Marion (Tony) Cory of Akron, NY. Predeceased by her father and mother, Peter and Josephine Perna and her brother, Joseph Perna. Burial at St. John's Cemetery, Worcester, MA.
