Joseph Anderson

Joseph Anderson, 64, of Leicester, died June 23, 2001, at the Livingston County Health Related Facility in Mt. Morris. He was born the son of Tennie and Irene Bonden Anderson on Sept. 28, 1936, in Florida. He is survived by his brothers, George Anderson of Leicester, Willie Thomas of Pennsylvania; sisters, Ruby Anderson of Mt. Morris, Eleanor Anderson of Pennsylvania; very dear friend June Puesey; and many nieces and nephews. Friends called Wednesday at the John W. Martin Funeral Home, 37 Chapel St., Mt. Morris where funeral services were held after calling, with the Rev. Roy Pierce officiating. Burial, Leicester Cemetery.

John P. Dunn

John P. Dunn, 71, of Clark St., Mt. Morris, died June 28, 2001, at his home. He was born the son of Carmen and Josephine Bruno Dunn on June 24, 1930, in Geneva, N.Y. He was a Navy veteran. He was a noted educator and coach. He was a graduate of Potsdam Teachers College and received his MS in Education from Brockport State College. He began his teaching career in 1958 in Waterloo, N.Y. where he taught for 18 years. During his tenure at Waterloo, he coached football and multiple Section 5 championship basketball teams. He was active in school and community organizations and devoted himself to the mentoring and nurturing of the local youth. In 1976 he became superintendent of school in Springfield, N.Y. From 1977 to 1986 he led the Mt. Morris Central School district until his retirement. Districts in many areas sought Mr. Dunn's expertise and he began a new career as Interim Superintendent in various districts in the Oneida, Herkimer, Madison BOCES and Livingston, Steuben, Wyoming BOCES. In all, 12 school districts benefited from his experience and leadership. A devoted husband, father and grandfather, Mr. Dunn recognized the great importance of family and enjoyed the activities of his children and grandchildren with great pleasure. He regarded his large extended family his greatest achievement. Beloved husband of Suzanne “Suz” of Mt. Morris, beloved father of Deborah (John) Schmidt of Mt. Morris, Mark (Cynthia) Dunn of New Hartford, N.Y., Christine (William) Fortune of Avon, Thomas (Elizabeth) Dunn of Honeoye Falls, Christopher (Lisa) Dunn of Tampa, Fla., Olinda (Warren) Bailey of San Francisco, Calif. Beloved grandfather of Jennifer, Matthew, Allison, Lauren, Lainey, Vanessa, Brennan, Caitlin, Jeffery, Jonathon, Savannah and Andrew; brother of Robert P. Dunn of Rochester. Friends called Sunday at the John W. Martin Funeral Home, 37 Chapel St., Mt. Morris. His memorial service was held Monday at the United Church of Mt. Morris with the Rev. Karin Farmer officiating. Clara L. Jopson

Clara L. Jopson age 89 died Sunday July 1, 2001 at the Livingston County Skilled Nursing Facility in Geneseo. She was born the daughter of Eugene and Lorena Tucker Briggs on January 9, 1912 in Honeoye Falls, NY. She was predeceased by her husband Theodore and a daughter Elsie Billotte. She is survived by her children, Theodore (Ellen) Jopson, JR of Livonia, Betty (Kenneth) Colvin of Lima, Richard (Donna) Jopson of Honeoye, Barbara Schmidt of Hemlock, Eugene (Dee) Jopson of Texas, Sharon (Alan) Hurley of Mendon, Lorena (William) Rogers of Lima, Melvin (Shannon) Jopson of Rochester. Many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Friends called Monday at the Kevin W. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc. Route 125, Livonia where funeral services were held Tuesday with the Rev. John H. Hayes officiating. Burial Union Cemetery, Livonia. Richard H. Kuhn

Richard H. Kuhn age 73 of Mt. Morris, died Friday June 29, 2001 at Highland Hospital in Rochester. He was born the son of Harvey and Mildred Rowe Kuhn on December 8, 1927 in Dansville, NY. He was predeceased by his wife Anna in 1994. He is survived by his daughter Cheryl (Gerald Jr.) Lynn of Leicester, grandchildren Elizabeth and Jenna Lynn. Sisters Joyce (Ed) Worthington of FL, Marjorie (Dr. James) Hollister of CT, Beverly (Malcolm) Perry of Hunt, Geraldine (James) Myers of VA, brother Donald Kuhn of Honeoye. Dear friend Phyllis Snyder of Caledonia. Several dear cousins, nieces and nephews. Friends called Monday at the John W. Martin Funeral Home, 37 Chapel Street, Mt. Morris. Rudolph F. Novak

Rudolph F. Novak, 81, of North Goodman St., Rochester, died June 27, 2001 at the Wesley Gardens Nursing Home. He was born March 14, 1920 in Vienna, Austria. He was a World War II Army veteran. He was president and owner of Wolensak Optical and Anson Instrument Corporation. He provided high quality optical systems for the industry for over 50 years. He was predeceased by his wife Irene. He is survived by his sons, Robert F. (Linda) Novak, Fritz I. Novak, Diane Hendershott; grandchildren, Brett Novak and Heather Novak; sisters-in-law, Dolores Kohler and Betty Romanowski; brother-in-law Dick Szczech and many nieces and nephews. No prior calling. Services at the convenience of the family. Brad J. Pangrazio

Brad J. Pangrazio; age 26 yr. died on June 29, 2001 in Mumford, NY. He was born February 5, 1975 in Batavia to Daniel L. and Roxanne (Hoag) Pangrazio. Brad worked as a stock keeper for Gray Metal Products, Avon. He loved the outdoors, and was an avid fisherman, bow hunter and deer hunter. He loved and respected all kinds of animals, and they responded to him. He enjoyed golfing, bocee, and playing pool with the boys. He was a true Redskins fan, and had a huge amount of respect for the older generation and the sacrifices they made to ensure our freedom. Family was very important to Brad, and he will remain forever in their minds and hearts. He is survived by his parents; Daniel and Roxanne (Hoag) Pangrazio, brothers; Scott and Kris Pangrazio, grandparents; Daniel and Ruby Pangrazio, and Richard and Nancy Hoag; nephews, Zachary, Kris and Andrew Pangrazio; special friend, Jenea Rychlicki, all of Caledonia; many aunts, uncles and cousins and friends. Leona Ann (Vogt) Saxton

Leona Ann (Vogt) Saxton, age 78 of Dansville, formerly of Hamilton Street, Wayland, died Friday, June 29, 2001 at Noyes Memorial Hospital in Dansville. She was born February 24, 1923 in Spring water, NY and resided all her life in the Wayland area. The daughter of Peter and Loraine Didas Vogt, she married Douglas L. Saxton who survives on November 12, 1945 in St. Joseph's Church, Wayland. Mrs. Saxton was a long time communicate of St. Joseph's Church in Wayland. Beloved wife of Douglas L. Saxton of 55 years; loving mother of Jacqueline (Bud) Stephens of Wayland, Raymond Saxton of Canadice, Robert (Suzanne) Saxton of Henrietta, Richard (Cora) Saxton of Wayland Douglas L. Saxton, Jr. of San Diego, CA, Mary Beth (Stephen) Reynolds of Wayland. Grandmother of Connie (Bob) Becker; Mark (Charlene) Stephens; Kristie Stephens; Matthew and Leah Saxton; Shane, Jeremy and Joshua Saxton; Richard, David and Thomas Saxton; Trevor and Hanna Saxton; Daniel, Timothy and Alex Reynolds.
