John H. Crawford

John H. Crawford, 74, died suddenly on June 8, 2001 at his home in East Avon. Mr. Crawford was born October 2, 1926 in Savannah, Georgia, the son of James H. Crawford, and Ruby Cannon. He was a native of Savannah, GA, although he has lived in the Rochester area for the past 26 years. He was a WWII Navy Veteran, Member of the American Legion Joseph Gallipeau Post # 294, Avon, NY. He retired after serving 25 years with the Savannah Fire Department, and retired after 16 years of service with Lightinin Corp., Rochester, NY. He is survived by his wife Lillian F. Crawford of Avon, NY; 2 sons and daughter-in-law James P. (Dawn) Crawford of Mt. Morris, NY, John Steven Crawford of Avon, NY; 4 grandchildren Jessica, Julie, Danny, Jamie Crawford; 2 brothers and sister-in-law Frederick L. (Doris) Crawford, of Savannah, GA, Joseph M. Crawford of Boynton Beach, FL; one niece and several nephews. His funeral service was held at the Stephenson-Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc. 350 Genesee St., Avon. Contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association (320 Lexington Ave. Rochester, NY 14613) in his memory. Interment East Avon Cemetery, Avon, NY.

Elizabeth E. Dodzweit

Elizabeth E. Dodzweit, 45, formerly of Lima, died suddenly June 14, 2001 in Delray Beach, Fl. She was predeceased by her parents Siegfried and Esther Dodzweit and her brother Philip Dodzweit. Elizabeth is survived by her daughter Melissa Campese of Delray Beach, Fl; three brothers Arthur Victor (Joy) Dodzweit of Florida, Benjamin (Sarah) Dodzweit of Lima and Hugo Dodzweit of Switzerland; three sisters Sharon Rose (Bernard) Evans of Lima, Joy (John) Stutzman of Elmira and Gloria Dodzweit of Switzerland; her stepmother Mathilda Dodzweit of Germany; and aunt Hannah Stewart of Montana, nieces and nephews. Friends called Monday at the O'Connell-Dougherty Funeral Home 2041 Lake Ave. in Lima. Funeral services were held Tuesday at Elim Gospel Church, Lima. Interment, Oakridge Cemetery, Lima. Memorials may be made to the International Student Fund, Elim Bible Institute, Lima, NY 14485.

Karen L. French

Karen L. French, 39 years of 6155 Conesus Sparta Townline Road Conesus died suddenly Saturday June 16, 2001 at Noyes Memorial Hospital in Dansville after being stricken at her home. She was born February 1, 1962 in Rochester, NY the daughter of Leslie and Loretta Brewer Pratt. Karen was production coordinator at RF Communications in Rochester. Karen graduated from Rush-Henrietta Central School. She is survived by her husband Richard T. French; her son Adam French of Avon, her parents Leslie and Loretta Pratt of Clarkson, her brothers Francis (Sharon) Pratt of Hemlock, Sidney Pratt of Avon, Don (Mary Beth Bebak) of Rochester, several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Friends called Tuesday 2-4, 7-9, at the Kevin W. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc Route 15 Livonia where funeral services were held on Wednesday at 11 am with the Rev. David Hotchkiss officiating. Ann G. Stenzel

Ann G. Stenzel, 91, of Avon, died on June 8, 2001, at Highland Hospital in Rochester. She was born on April 12, 1910, in Rochester, the daughter of Raymond Corcoran and Lillian (Curvin) Corcoran. She was retired from Ayer & Streb Printing where she worked as a bookkeeper. She was predeceased by her husbands, Robert Gordon in 1955 and Howard Stenzel in 1992. She is survived by a daughter, Marianne Cullinan of Avon; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Lillian (Fred) Gendreau of Naples, Fla., and Mary (John) McCarron of Albertville, Ala.; brother, Raymond Corcoran of Auburn, N.Y.; five grandchildren, Mark (Jeanette) Cullinan, Matthew (Anna Reilly) Cullinan, Sean (Susan) Cullinan, Christopher (Catherine) Cullinan, Shannon (Sarah) Cullinan; eight great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Calling hours were held at the Stephenson-Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 350 Genesee St., in Avon. Her Funeral Mass was held at St. Agnes Church in Avon with the Rev. William Gordinier officiating. Contributions may be made to St. Agnes Church in her memory. Interment, St. Agnes Cemetery in Avon.

Rachel Payne Woolston

Rachel Payne Woolston, 98, of Greece, N.Y., died June 9, 2001, at the Fairport Baptist Home in Fairport, N.Y. She was a retired assistant professor of math at SUNY Geneseo and had also taught at Geneseo Central School. She was born Aug. 2, 1902, in Greece, the daughter of William A. and Etta Keene Payne. She attended the University of Rochester for two years and graduated from Syracuse University in 1924. She is survived by two sons, Robert (Esther) Woolston of Ocala, Fla. and Richard (Nancy) Woolston of Greece; three grandchildren, David (Sue) Woolston of Greece, Steven (Lisa) Woolston of Arlington, Texas and Carol (Rusty) Ratcliffe of Austin, Texas; four great grandchildren, Benjamin, Joseph, Lauren and Jennifer Woolston; and several nieces. No prior calling. A graveside service will be held at Fairfield Cemetery in Spencerport at the family's convenience. Those wishing may make memorial contributions to the Fairport Baptist Home, 4646 Nine Mile Point Rd., Fairport NY 14450 or to a favorite charity. Arrangements: Thomas E.
