Parx O. Biggie

Vietnam War veteran

Parx O. Biggie, 65, a retired dispatcher for Genesee & Wyoming Railroad in Retsof, died suddenly May 29, 2005 at his residence on Chestnut St. in York. Mr. Biggie was previously from Reynoldsville, Pa. He is survived by one son Chris (Paula) Biggie of Greenburg, Pa.; one daughter Dawn (Mike) Whelpley of Dubois, Pa.; six grandchildren; three brothers, William of Bradley Beach, N.J., Gerald of Boise, Idaho and Robert of Buffalo, WY; one sister Marilyn Bigney of Easton, Pa.; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Elsie Biggie in 2002. He was born Jan. 8, 1940 in Reynoldsville, Pa., the son of Parx and Eva Contestable Biggie. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. Friends called June 2 at the family residence, 2748 Chestnut St. in York. Memorial services will be held in Reynoldsville, Pa. Arrangements by: Rector-Hicks Funeral Home Inc., 111 Main St. in Geneseo. Robert C. Hall U.S. Air Force veteran Honeoye - Robert C. Hall, 69, died June 5, 2005 at his home. He was born the son of Jerome and Elizabeth Conine Hall on Feb. 7, 1936 in Prattsburg, N.Y. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and a retiree of Eastman Kodak Company. He is survived by his children, Jill (Hugh “Bert”) Ward, Mark Hall and Jacqueline (Benjamin) Blackmer; grandchildren, Joelle Ward and Hunter Blackmer; cousin David (Eunice) Conine. Friends may call Thursday 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Kevin W. Dougherty Funeral Home Inc., Route 15 in Livonia. His Funeral Service will immediately follow at the Honeoye United Church of Christ at 3:30 p.m. with Rev. Brian Krause officiating. Burial, Richmond Center Cemetery, Honeoye.

Frederick M. Jerles

World War II veteran

Avon - Frederick M. Jerles, 90, died June 6, 2005 at his home. He was born Nov. 4, 1914 in Crossfort, Potter County, Pa. He was a World War II Army veteran, a member of the LeRoy Moose and the VFW Post. He is survived by dear friends including Joyce and Hugh Duncan of Avon; sisters, Elsie Wilson of Pennsylvania, Ava Voyt of Pennsylvania; and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call Thursday 7-9 p.m. only at the Kevin W. Dougherty Funeral Home Inc., Route 15 in Livonia where services will be held Friday at 10 a.m. Burial, Temple Hill Cemetery in Geneseo. Marie E. Mathes

Livonia resident

Marie E. Mathes, 74, died suddenly June 5, 2005. She was born the daughter of William and Alberta Prettyman Kreitzer on March 17, 1931 in Bay Village, Ohio. She was a member of St. Matthew Church in Livonia, the Campfire Girls in Greece, the Irondequoit Garden Club, the Geneseo Garden Club, the Countryside Garden Club, a member of the Board of Directors of the Federated Garden Clubs of New York State, 7th District, the Conesus Lake Association. She is survived by her husband Alva; her children, Robert Mathes of Livonia, Debbie Fritz of Kentucky; grandchildren, Alyssa, Tom, Megan and Timmy Fritz; brother William (Judy) Kreitzer of Arizona; sisters, Peggy (Anthony) Napolitano of Syracuse, Florence (Edward) Lang of Syracuse; several nieces and nephews. Friends may call Wednesday 2-4, 7-9 p.m. at the Kevin W. Dougherty Funeral Home Inc., Route 15 in Livonia. Her Funeral Mass will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. at St. Matthew Church. Doris B. Woolston

Lakeville resident

Doris B. Woolston, 86, of Stone Hill Road, Lakeville, died suddenly June 3, 2005 at Strong Memorial Hospital. She was born the daughter of Lewis and Agnes McCaughey Barrow on Nov. 28, 1918 in South Livonia. She was a life time member of the Lakeville United Church of Christ and was a member of the Eastern Star. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Raymond; her sons, Robert (Sandy) Woolston of Cameron, N.C., Gerald (Judy) Woolston of Livonia, Ronald (Lynne Couchman) Woolston of Victor; grandchildren, Timothy (Donna) Woolston of Lakeville, Thomas Woolston of Annandale, Va., Michelle (Ted) Mills of Union Dale, Pa.; great grandchildren, Ashley, Susanna, Maggie, Alexander and Jonathan Woolston, Ted and Kyla Mills; daughter-in-law Roberta Woolston; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends called Monday at the Kevin W. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., Route 15 in Livonia. Her Funeral Service was held Tuesday at the Lakeville United Church of Christ. Burial, Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Geneseo. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lakeville United Church of Christ or to the Livonia Ambulance Fund.
