Carroll S. Bickford

Carroll S. Bickford, age 85 yr. of Caledonia died May 23, 2001 at the Livingston County Skilled Nursing Facility, Mt. Morris. He was born April 19, 1916 in Tamworth, to Wilber J. and Francis (Hobbs) Bickford. Carroll was a long time farmer in Caledonia, and a member of the Farm Bureau, Pro-Fac Cooperative, and the Upstate Cooperative. He was named Caledonia's Citizen of the Year in 2000. Carroll served on the Caledonia Fire Department for over 40 years. He was chairman of the Caledonia Ambulance and a member of the Fire Department Benevolent Fund. He was an original member of the Caledonia Planning Board, and served as Caledonia Town Supervisor for 20 years. Carroll also served on the Livingston County Republican Committee for many years. He is survived by his wife of 62 years; Evelyn, Caledonia, sons and daughters-in-law; Richard and Sharon Bickford, and Robert and Sally Bickford, both of Caledonia; 7 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Friends called Tuesday, 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Alhart Funeral Home, 3068 West Main Street, Caledonia. Funeral Service was held Wednesday, 11:00 am at the First Presbyterian Church, 3080 Main Street, Caledonia. Interment was held at St. Columba Cemetery. Memorial may be made to the Caledonia Ambulance, P.O. Box 1, Caledonia, NY 14423 or the charity of your choice.

Fred H. Deming, Sr.

Fred H. Deming, Sr. age 82 died Tuesday May 22, 2001 at the Canandaigua Veteran Hospital. He was born the son of Lansing and Hazel Sleight Deming on December 17, 1918 in Rochester, NY. He was a WWII Army Veteran, a member of the Harrison-Lee American Legion Post #283, the VFW in York, the York Sportsmans Club. He was predeceased by his wife Mary in 1968. He was a truck driver for over 57 years. He is survived by his children Fred (Judy) Deming, Jr. of Honeoye, Daniel (Ho Ho) Deming of Coppers Cove, TX, David Deming of Weekiwachee, Fl, Gerald (Sharon) Deming of York, NY, Bonnie (John) Gibson of Springwater, NY. Sister Bernice (Alexander) Greer of Rockingham, NC. 7 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter. Several nieces and nephews. Friends may call Friday 2-4, 7-9 at the Kevin W. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc. Route 15, Livonia. Graveside service will be held Saturday at 11 am at St. Agnes Cemetery, Avon, NY. Josephine (Peraino) LaRosa

Josephine (Peraino) LaRosa, 95, of 9 Spring St., Mt. Morris died, May 28, 2001 at Noyes Hospital in Dansville after a brief illness. She was born the daughter of Joseph and Frances Peraino on Jan. 1, 1906 in Italy. Prior to her retirement in 1970 she was employed as a seamstress at Champion Products in Geneseo and Perry Knitting in Mt. Morris. She was a member of St. Patrick's Church in Mt. Morris. She is survived by her two daughters, Mary Zupparo and Frances Leonardo both of Mt. Morris; one daughter-in-law Sadie LaRosa of Mt. Morris; 18 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Angelo in 1954 and son, Philip LaRosa in 1976. Friends called Wednesday at the John W. Martin Funeral Home, 37 Chapel St. (Route 408), Mount Morris where prayers will be said Thursday at 9 am followed by a funeral mass at 9:30 am at St. Patrick's Church with the Rev. Michael Brown officiating. Interment St. Patrick's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Patrick's Church Restoration Fund (Home and Heart), Mt. Morris Ambulance Fund or ones favorite charity.

Marjorie E. Mann

Marjorie E. Mann, 85, of 333 Park Lane, Mt. Morris, died May 29, 2001 at Noyes Memorial Hospital in Dansville. She was born the daughter of William and Helena (Campbell) Whitney on March 15, 1916 in Swain, N. Y. She was a member of the United Church of Mt. Morris. She was married to Stanley G. Mann for 57 years. She is survived by her three daughters Elaine (Irvin) Rea of Michigan, Nancy (Richard) Rea of Virginia and Carolyn (Everett) Brown of Vermont; two daughters-in-law, Rebecca and Joan Mann both of Mt. Morris; 19 grandchildren, 46 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; two sisters, Victoria and Mary Whitney both of Mt. Morris and one brother William Whitney of Hornell, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Stanley, two sons, Burton and Floyd Eugene and a daughter Thelma. Friends called Wednesday at the JOHN W. MARTIN FUNERAL HOME, 37 Chapel (Route 408), Mt. Morris. Funeral services to be held Thursday at 2:30 pm at the United Church of Mt. Morris with the Rev. Carin Farmer officiating. Interment Mt. Morris Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, American Heart Association or the United Church of Mount Morris.

Martin Mastowski, Jr.

Martin J. Mastowski, Jr. age 66 of East Main Street, Honeoye, died Monday May 21, 2001 at F.F. Thompson Continuing Care Center in Canandaigua. He was born the son of Martin and Helen Habschied Mastowski, Sr. on February 14, 1935 in Rochester, NY. He was a Navy Veteran. He is survived by his mother Helen Mastowski of Honeoye, daughters, Connie, Linda and Christie. 6 grandchildren. Brothers Daniel Mastowski of Honeoye, Stephen (Gertrude) Mastowski of Honeoye. Sister Gladys (James) DeGeorge of Florida. Several nieces, nephews and cousins. No prior calling. His funeral was Wednesday at 9:30 am at St. Mary's Church Honeoye with the Rev. Flora Mosher

Flora M. Mosher, age 79 of Wesley Road, in Honeoye died Monday, May 21, 2001 at F.F. Thompson Hospital in Canandaigua, NY. She was born the daughter of Harrison L. and Gertrude Brown Washburn on January 16, 1922 in Naples, NY. She was a retiree of the Livingston County Skilled Nursing Facility in Geneseo. She is survived by her husband Charles of Honeoye, children Joyce (Raymond) Munger of Honeoye, Elaine (Norman) Yott of Cape Vincent, NY, Carolyn (Charles) Carlson of Nunda, Linda (John) Callahan of MI, Charles (Sharon) Mosher of Lakeville, James (Deborah) Mosher of Sarasota, Fl, Robert Mosher of Buffalo. 22 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren. Elinora Mogavero Rebban

Elinora Mogavero Rebban, 64, of Geneseo, died May 27, 2001. She was born Dec. 5, 1936, the daughter of Samuel F. and Rose Mogavero of LeRoy. She was raised in LeRoy and attended LeRoy Central School, where she met and married her husband Robert, and raised five children: Martha R. Barret of Delray Beach, Fla., Lynne R. James of Seminole, Fla., Robert K Rebban of Geneseo, Stacey E. Rebban of Lake Worth, Fla., and Arthur J. Rebban of Geneseo. In LeRoy, she was active in many community service activities. She and Robert later relocated to Geneseo, at Conesus Lake where she became an active member of the Republican Party as the second town councilwoman ever to serve the Town of Geneseo. She also served as first-vice-president on the Board of Directors of the Livingston County Women's Republican Club. Elinora, known by her family and friends as “Ellie,” enjoyed participating as a member of the Conesus Lake Garden Club, the Geneseo Community Players and as an active fundraiser for the Community Health Network of Rochester. She will be remembered most for her vitality, her generosity, her abundance of friends and her love of family. No prior calling hours. There will be a mass at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Geneseo on Saturday, June 2 at 10 a.m. In lieu of flower, donations may be made to the Community Health Network of Rochester, 758 South Ave., Rochester NY 14620-2237 or the Livingston County Hospice, 2 County Campus, Mt. Morris NY 14510-1619.

David Richard Rudney

David Richard Rudney, 48, of 14 Shepard Ave., Mt. Morris died May 24, 2001 at the Teresa House in Geneseo. He was born the son of Joseph and Josephine (NiCastro) Rudney on Nov. 3, 1952 in Dansville. He was employed by the Local Laborers Union # 435 in Rochester. He is survived by his three children, David (Crystal) Rudney Jr. of Avon, Sean (Robin) Rudney of Dansville and Kristy (Bill) Eddy of Wadsworth; nine grandchildren, Mindy and Misty Miller, Maranda and Megan Rudney, Curtis Clark, Anthony and Christian Rudney and Billy Jo and Brendon Eddy; one sister Ann (Rod) LeVesque of Cohocton; one brother Ben (Roselyn) Rudney of Perry; one niece; three nephews, aunts and uncles. Friends called Saturday at the JOHN W. MARTIN FUNERAL HOME, 37 Chapel St., Mt. Morris where funeral services were held Saturday at 9 pm. with Pastor Chuck Freeman officiating.
