Rose D. Constantine

Rose D. Constantine, 89, of 32 Barone Ave., Mt. Morris, died Feb. 26, 2001 at Noyes Memorial Hospital in Dansville. She was born the daughter of Orazio and Sarafina (Guzetta) DiGioia on March 10, 1911 in Buffalo, N. Y. She was a member of St. Patrickıs Church where she was a member of the Rosary Society. She was also a former Religious Education Teacher at the Assumption Church in Mt. Morris. She was predeceased by her husband Charles in 1993. She is survived by her daughters, Carol (Jerald) Eckl of Rochester and Joyce (Dennis) Lefevre of Massachusetts; 3 grandchildren, Justin (Margaret) Lefevre, Kristen Eckl and Alexander Lefevre; 2 sisters, Patricia Barraco of Florida, Marie DiGioia of Mt. Morris; 3 brothers, Louis (Florence) DiGioia of Mt. Morris, James (Sara) and Joseph (Rosalind) DiGioia, both of Florida; several nieces and nephews. Friends called Wednesday at the JOHN W. MARTIN FUNERAL HOME 37 Chapel Street, (Route 408), Mt. Morris where prayers will be said Thursday at 9 am followed by a funeral mass at St. Patrickıs Church at 9:30 a.m. with the Rev. Michael Brown officiating. Interment St. Patrickıs Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the School of the Holy Childhood or Mt. Morris Ambulance Fund.

Catherine Welch Courneen

Catherine Welch Courneen age 82 of Canandaigua, formerly of Lima and West Bloomfield, died Wednesday February 21, 2001 at the Thompson Nursing Home in Canandaigua. She was born September 6, 1918 in Lima, NY the daughter of Edward and Catherine (Gleason) Welch. Predeceased by her son Edward in 1977 and her husband Francis in 1985 she is survived by her daughter Bernadette Soffel and her son Martin Courneen both of Canandaigua; grandchildren Michael, Lisa, Tricia and Trevor; six great grandchildren; Catherine enjoyed loving relationships with her nephews, nieces and friends. Friends called on Thursday at the OıConnell-Dougherty Funeral Home In Lima. A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial was held Friday at St. Rose Church in Lima, Rev. Larry Gross officiating. Interment St. Rose Cemetery.

H. James ³Herbie² DeGarmo

H. James ³Herbie² DeGarmo, age 62, died suddenly Friday February 23, 2001 at F.F. Thompson Hospital in Canandaigua. He was born in Rochester, NY January 13, 1939 the son of Herbert and Aquilla (Buck) DeGarmo. He was a graduate of Livonia Central School and served in the United States Air Force from 960 to 1964. Jim was employed by the Village of Avon, Dept. of Public Works for 28 years retiring in May of 1999; he also worked part-time for 20 years for Village of Avon Police Department and was currently a substitute bus driver for Avon Central School through the Laidlaw Transit Company. Prior to and following his retirement Jim enjoyed working for Avon area farmers. Jim was a long time active member of Pumper Company of the Avon Fire Department. He served as Fire Chief from 1980 to 1983 and 1987 to 1990, he was a past and current President of the Avon Fire Dept. He also was a past member of the Avon-Rotary-Lions Ambulance Service. Jim is survived by his wife of thirty-five years, Patrician Davin DeGarmo, his children Margaret, Julie, Amy & Bill DeGarmo; Maggie (Ron) Parisi and Heather (Brad) Strange, an aunt Barbara DeGarmo of Fl., brothers-in-law Mike (Jan) Davin and Tim (Kathy) Davin; 5 grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and special friend Lorraine Vonglis. Friends called Sunday & Monday at the Stephenson-Dougherty Funeral Home Inc. in Avon. A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial was held Tuesday at St. Agnes Church, Avon. Interment, St. Agnes Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Avon Fire Department, 74 Genesee St. Avon, NY 14414 or to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 3049 Syracuse, NY 13220-3049.

Janet C. Fisher

Janet C. Fisher, age 71 yrs., Caledonia died February 24, 2001 at Highland Hospital , Rochester. She not born July 14, 1929 in Byron to Albert and Rosemarie (Hagen) Edwards. Janet was a retiree of Allen Bailey Tag & Label, Caledonia. She is survived by three daughters; Betty (Philip) Bolsei, Rochester, Sandra Dibble, Mumford, and Janice (John) Garland, Caledonia; son, Robert (Sharlene) Dibble, NV; 10 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; sister, Jeanette (Samuel) Norris, Alexander; several nieces and nephews. Friend called Monday with her Funeral Service to follow at the Alhart Funeral Home, 3068 West Main Street, Caledonia. Private Interment will be held at Byron Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Caledonia Ambulance P.O. Box 1, Caledonia, NY 14423.

Elsie M. Kaiser

Elsie M. Kaiser age 90 of Avon, formerly of Caledonia, Buffalo and West Seneca, died Thursday February 22, 2001 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester. She was born in Breslau, Germany February 27, 1910, the daughter of Otto and Elsie (Reipert) Mundry. She attended the Avon United Methodist Church, Avon Senior Nutrition Center and traveled with the Avon Senior Citizens. Her greatest love was gatherings with her family and friends. Predeceased by her husband Richard Kaiser and daughter Hildegard Scherer, Elsie is survived by three grandsons & granddaughters-in-law, Robert & Linda Scherer of Longwood, Fl, Ronald & LaVon Scherer, and John & Lori Scherer all of Avon; seven grandchildren. Elsieıs calling hours and funeral service were held Saturday at the Stephenson-Dougherty Funeral Home Inc. in Avon. Interment will be in the Spring at Darien Cemetery. Rev. Larry Beman officiating. George C. Klimas

George C. Klimas age 60 died suddenly February 16, 2001 at his home in Livonia. He was born the son of George and Mildred  Skistimas Klimas on January 31, 1941 in Pottsville, PA. He was a graduate of Penn State College and President of MOLID Inc. in Rochester. He was predeceased by his father George F. Klimas in August of 2000. He is survived by his daughter Kathleen and Thomas Magnarelli of Syracuse, mother Mildred Klimas of Redding, PA, grandsons Thomas and Michael. Sister Dianne Klimas of Redding, PA. 1 nephew and 1 niece. No prior calling. Friends may attend a memorial mass Saturday March 3, 2001 at Mt. Carmel Church 53 Ontario Street, Rochester at 11 am and a memorial mass Saturday March 10, 2001 10 am at St. Vincent-DePaul Church Girardville, PA. Arrangements by the Kevin W. Dougherty Funeral Home, Livonia.

Ford E. Manning

Ford E. Manning age 88 of Lima, died Saturday February 17, 2001 at St. Johnıs Home in Rochester. He was born in Jersey City, NJ May 18, 1912 the son of Floyd A. and Hazel E. (Mahaney) Manning. Rod was retired from Yaman-Erby Co in Rochester where he was a machinist and was a night security guard at Elim Bible Institute in Lima for many years. Ford is survived by three sons David James Manning, John Paul (Peggy) Manning of Fayetteville, NC; and Ronald Mark (Karin) Manning of Pittsford; a sister Ruth Evelyn Farnsworth of Rochester; a brother Robert (Thelma) Manning of Webster; seven grandchildren, four great grandchildren nieces and nephews. Friends called Tuesday at the OıConnell-Dougherty Funeral Home in Lima where his funeral service was held Wednesday at 10am. Rev. Charles E. Whited Jr. officiating. Interment, Oakridge Cemetery, Lima. Memorials may be made to Elim Fellowship, 1703 Dalton Road, Lima, NY 14485.
