John P. Coley

John P. Coley, age 85, of 11885 Granger Road, Wayland died Wednesday February 14, 2001 at the Veterans Administration Medical Center at Bath, New York after a long illness. John was born May 8, 1915 in Wayland the son of Richard and Johanna Plail Coley residing all of his life in Wayland. He married the Former Eleanor Allen June 14, 1937 in Batavia she survives. Prior to retirement in 1975 he owned and operated the Wayland Woodcroftery and also was affiliated with his wife Eleanor in the Steuben House for over 20 years. He was a board member of the 1st National Bank for many years. John was a Chief Petty officer in the Navy serving in WWII and was a Member of the Wayland American Legion. Besides his wife Eleanor he is survived by 1 Daughter; Mary Ewert of Brockport. 1 Son; John c. (Renae) Coley of Wayland. 5 Grandchildren; Heather White, Holly Green, Zachery Ewert, Melonie Coley and John P. Coley 2nd. 7 Great Grand-children. A special cousin; Emilie Bochı of Augsburg, Ger. Friends called Saturday at the St. George Stanton Funeral Home in Wayland. Funeral services were conducted Sunday in the Funeral Home, Rev. Karen Christensen Officiating. Interment, Wayland Village Cemetery. Those wishing to make contributions may make them to Wayland Ambulance Corps or Wayland Library, Wayland, New York 14572.

Richard A. Eddy

Richard A. Eddy, 86, a retired machinist for Penn Central Railroad in Rochester, NY, died Friday, February 16, 2001 at Noyes Memorial Hospital in Dansville, NY. Mr. Eddy lived on North Dansville St. in Cohocton and was previously from Geneseo. He is survived by his wife Nancy Eddy, children Richard Eddy Jr. of CA, Robert Eddy of Geneseo, Randy Eddy of Groveland, Dale Eddy of Conesus, Hughie Eddy of Wayland, Jean Ingalls of Geneseo, Linda Collins of TX , Lila Hulo of Canandaigua, Julia Smith of Canandaigua, Tina Eddy of Cohocton, Nina Finnocharrio of Mt. Morris, Tonya Eddy of Bath, Tammie Eddy of Canandaigua, William Eddy of York, 28 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was born October 14, 1914 in Avon, NY the son of Elmer and Grace (Washburn) Eddy. Visitation was held at the Rector-Hicks Funeral Home on Monday Feb. 19, 2001 from 7-9 PM. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society 1400 N. Winton Rd., Rochester , NY 14609. Funeral services were held Tuesday, February 20, 2001 at 10 am at the Rector-Hicks Funeral Home wit Rev. John Zatkiewicz of the Cornerstone Baptist Church in Geneseo officiating. Burial will be in Temple Hill Cemetery in Geneseo.

Rosalia ³Rose² M. (Tantillo) Genco

Rosalia ³Rose² M. (Tantillo) Genco, 76, of 16 Glen Morris Ave., Mt. Morris died Feb. 19, 2001 at Noyes Memorial Hospital in Dansville. She was born the daughter of Nunzio and Sarah (Martina) Tantillo on March 7, 1924 in Dansville. Prior to her retirement in 1953 she owned and operated the Mt. Morris Department Store with her husband. She had also worked at the New Family Theater in Mt. Morris and managed the Cuba Theater in Cuba, N.Y. She was a member of St. Patrickıs Church in Mt. Morris. She was a former Volunteer at the Cuba Hospital. She is survived by her husband of 49 years Russell S. Genco; 2 children R. David (Doris) Genco of Denver, Colo. and Patricia (James) Mann of Mt. Morris; 3 grandchildren Jamie, Jason and Jennifer Mann all of Mt. Morris; 1 brother Ross (Joyce) Tantillo of Mt. Morris; several nieces and nephews. Friends called Wednesday at the JOHN W. MARTIN FUNERAL HOME, 37 Chapel St. (Route 408), Mt. Morris where prayers will said Thursday at 9 a.m. followed by a mass of Christian burial in St. Patrickıs Church at 9:30 a.m. with the Rev. Michael Brown officiating. Interment, St. Patrickıs Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Mt. Morris Ambulance, Mt. Morris Library or the American Lung Association.

Hugh E. Hagan, Sr.

Hugh E. Hagan, Sr.. age 81 of 3823 Main Street, Wadsworth died Tuesday February 20, 2001 at his home. He was born the son of Hugh and Margaret (Delaney) Hagan on February 26, 1919 in Geneseo, NY. Prior to his retirement in 1982, he was employed for over 29 years as a Salt Miner at AKZO Salt Company in Retsof. He was a member of St. Lucyıs Church in Retsof. He is survived by his daughter Sally Lawson of Henrietta, Son-in-law Michael Conrad of Wadsworth. 5 Grandchildren and 4 Great Grandchildren. 2 Brothers James (June) Hagan of Wadsworth, William (Kathleen) Hagan of New Jersey. Agnes (Walter) Predmore of Newark, NY. Several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Luella in 1998, Son Hugh Jr. and daughter Mary Lou Conrad both in 1999.No Prior calling. Funeral Mass to be held Friday at 9:30 am at St. Lucyıs Church in Retsof. Interment St. Maryıs Cemetery, Geneseo. Memorials may be made to ones favorite Charity. Arrangements by the JOHN W. Jessie E. Kilmer

Jessie E. Kilmer, LeRoy age 84 yr. died February 17, 2001 at Hurlbut Nursing Home, Rochester. She was born July 12, 1916 to Hiram J. and Hazel (Stephens) Broadbent in Sweden, New York. Jessie was a nurse for many years at the Rochester State Hospital. She is survived by her daughter Veronica Holmes; sons and daughters-in-law; Louis James and Carole Kilmer, Robert Allen and Linda Kilmer, and William and Marilyn Kilmer; 9 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Broadbent. A private service was held Monday, February 19, 2001, 3 PM at the Alhart Funeral Home, 3068 West Main Street, Caledonia, NY. Interment Mumford Rural Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Caledonia Ambulance, P.O. Box 1, Caledonia, NY 14423.

Elizabeth (Rebecca) Cragg Kramer

Elizabeth (Rebecca) Cragg Kramer, 90, formerly of 1 Mill Street, Cohocton died Tuesday February 15, 2001 at Hornell Gardens in Hornell after a long illness. Rebecca was born July 25, 1910 in Cohocton, the daughter of John & Jessie Wheaton Cragg. She married Norbert Kramer October 9, 1937 who predeceased her in 1968 after 31 years of marriage. Rebecca was predeceased by her 5 brothers, Theodore, Owen, William, Orrin, and Warren also her 2 sisters Orpha Wightman, and Ora Sanderson. Rebecca is survived by her children Norberta (Ted) Brown, or Hornell, Fran (Marianne) Kramer, of Gibsonia, PA. Her grandchildren Lynn Kuhn, Jeremy Brown, Robert & Ashley Kramer. One brother Gordon Cragg of Cohocton, and one sister Edith Pritting of Avoca.  Several Nieces and Nephews. Rebecca graduated from Corning Northside in 1926, and received her teaching degree from Geneseo State Teachers College in 1929, continuing her education at Geneseo State Teachers College and Albany State Teachers College. Rebecca started her teaching in the Cohocton School District-Lent Hill Rural School, and also, taught in Rural School, Italy Hill, Town Jerusalem. Rebecca, retired from Cohocton Central School in 1975. Rebecca was a member of the Cohocton Methodist Church, and past member of Cohocton American Legion Auxiliary, Cohocton Firemanıs Auxiliary, ³Eastern Star², United Methodist Women, Sunshine Club, Bethel Class, NYS Retired Teachers Association, 4-H Club Leader for 8 years. Friends called Friday at the St. George-Stanton Funeral Home in Wayland. Friends attended a funeral Service Saturday at the funeral home, with Pastor Scott Greene officiating. Gerald A. Martin

Gerald A. Martin, 61, of Caledonia, died Feb. 15, 2001 at United Memorial Medical Center is Batavia. He was born Oct. 1, 1939, in Rochester, the son of Austin P. and Ruth (Stern) Martin. Gerald was a graduate of Avon Central School and Rochester Business Institute. He was a Systems Analyst for First Federal Bank in Rochester. He served in the Army National Guard during the Viet Nam Era. Gerald held an advanced license as an amateur ham radio operator. He was a 32 year member of the United Presbyterian Stone Church in Caledonia where he served the last twenty years as treasurer. He was also past master of the Eunice Masonic Lodge. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law John and Jennifer Martin of Rochester; his mother, Ruth Martin of Avon; brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Christine Martin of Avon; niece Katie Martin; former wife, Joan Martin; aunts, uncles and cousins. Funeral services were held Monday at the United Presbyterian Stone Church in Caledonia with Rev. Merl Galusha officiating. Entombment, Riverside Cemetery in Rochester.
