Janet L. Bickford

Caledonia resident

Janet L. Bickford, 39, of Caledonia, died Dec. 25, 2005 at Teresa House, Geneseo. She was born July 30, 1966 in Rochester to Barry and Mary Ann Bickford. Janet worked for Unisource, Rochester as a mortgage broker. Janet was a Buffalo Bills fan, and enjoyed NASCAR. She is survived by her loving daughter, Samantha Bickford; father, Barry L. Bickford; brother, Barry M. Bickford; several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Her mother, Mary Ann predeceases Janet. Friends and family attended her Funeral Mass Dec. 28, 2005 at St. Columba Church, Caledonia. Interment was held at St. Columba Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Teresa House 21 Highland Rd., Geneseo N.Y. 14454. Arrangements made by Alhart Funeral Home, 3068 W. Main St., Caledonia.

William L. Burrows

LAL Railroad retiree

William L. Burrows, 66, of Mumford, died Feb. 2, 2006 at Highland Hospital, Rochester. He was born Aug. 22, 1939 in Portville, N.Y. to Louis and Mary Burrows. Mr. Burrows retired from the Lakeville, Avon and Livonia Railroad in Lakeville. He is survived by his special “kids” and caregivers, Molly and David Coyle of Churchville; sisters, Marge Smith, Betty Coyle, Linda Burrows; and brother, Richard Burrows; several nieces and nephews. Friends attended his Memorial Service Feb. 4 at the Alhart Funeral Home, 3068 W. Main St., Caledonia. Private interment.

Richard A. Caccamise

Hemlock resident

Richard A. Caccamise “Radar,” 45, died Feb. 4, 2006. He is survived by his wife Diana; mother Roberta Caccamise of Lima; sister Pam (Jim) Merritt of Scottsville; mother and father-in-law, Barbara and James Shepard of Honeoye Falls; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ken (Deb) Speed of Canandaigua, Terry (Kathy) Speed of Virginia; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and too many friends to mention. He was predeceased by his father Richard C. Caccamise. Radar and Diana were married for more than 20 years and lived in Hemlock for the past 16 years. They shared in remodeling their 100 year old home, woodworking and gardening. Radar was a longtime member of the Conesus Lake Sportsman's Club. He loved to skeet shoot and also refereed skeet shooting all over the United States. He treasured the numerous friendships made while enjoying this, his beloved sport. Radar was also a proud member of the Harrison-Lee American Legion Post #283 and enjoyed socializing with friends there. Friends called Tuesday at the Kevin W. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., Route 15 in Livonia. His services, Wednesday 11 a.m. at the Conesus Lake Sportsman's Club, 5879 Stone Hill Road in Lakeville. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Strong Memorial Hospital Solid Organ Transplantation Unit, 601 Elmwood Ave., the University of Rochester James P. Wilmont Cancer Center, 601 Elmwood Ave., Box 704, Rochester NY 14642 or to the Livingston County Hospice Fund, 2 County Campus, Mt. Morris NY 14510.

Dean H. Fisher

Dean H. Fisher, 73, of Clifton, died Jan. 9, 2006 at Martin Memorial Hospital, North, Stuart, Fla. He was born June 15, 1932 to Lester B. and Ruth Fisher in Chili, N.Y. Dean retired from the Town of Chili as the Highway Foreman. Dean was a life-time member of the Clifton Fire Department. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, raising chickens and spending time with his family. He is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Brian and MaryBeth Fisher of Clifton, Scott and Jean Fisher of Clifton, and daughter and son-in-law, Darlene and Thomas Livermore of Mumford; grandchildren, Daniel, Michael, Troy, Amanda, Patricia and Elizabeth; brother, Carl Fisher of Honeoye Falls, brother-in-law, William (Mildred) Callan, Fla.; sister-in-law, Betty Callan, Caledonia; several nieces and nephews. His wife, Joyce predeceases Dean. Friends and family called Jan. 13 at the Alhart Funeral Home, 3068 W. Main St., Caledonia. His funeral service was held at the Clifton Fire Department, 53 Wheatland Center Road, Clifton, N.Y. Interment was held at Maplegrove Place Cemetery, Clifton. Robin J. Hill

Robin J. Hill, 49, a secretary at the NY State Disabilities Office in Rochester, died suddenly Jan. 28, 2006 at her residence on Jacqueline Way in Geneseo. Miss Hill was previously from Alden, N.Y. She is survived by her brother Joshua (Barbara) Hill of , Carmel, Ind.; sister Judy (Robert) Taphorn of Estes Park, Colo.; nieces, nephews, cousins and special friend Carl Perkins of Geneseo. She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Marlee Hill. She was born March 20, 1956 in Buffalo, N.Y. the daughter of Richard and Marlee Bragdon Hill. Visitation was held Feb. 4 at the Rector-Hicks Funeral Home in Geneseo. Funeral Services in Alden, N.Y. will be announced. Interment, Alden Union Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Geneseo Ambulance Fund, P.O. Box 428, Geneseo NY 14454.

Betty V. Johnson

Caledonia resident

Betty V. Johnson, 92, of Caledonia, died Jan. 24, 2006 at the LeRoy Village Green Nursing Home. She was born to Harry and Mae VanDeventer on Sept. 13, 1913 in Nunda where she was also raised. Betty was a school teacher and later store owner with her husband Vernon Johnson of the IGA, Caledonia. She was a 50 year member of the First Presbyterian Church, Caledonia and a board member for the Caledonia Library. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Craig and Patricia Johnson of Caledonia; stepson and daughter-in-law, Richard and Barbara Johnson of Atlantis, Fla.; grandchildren, Cari (Larry) Denton, Barbara Johnson, Jennifer (Paul) Kintz, Christopher Johnson; two great grandchildren. Her husband, Vernon predeceases Betty. Friends and family attended her Memorial Service Jan. 27 at the First Presbyterian Church, 3080 W. Main St., Caledonia. A private interment was held at Mumford Rural Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Church. Arrangements made by Alhart Funeral Home, 3068 W. Main St., Caledonia.

Robert L. McGee

Kodak retiree

Robert L. McGee, 70, died on Jan. 29, 2006 at his home in Avon, surrounded by his loving family. Mr. McGee was born on Aug. 1, 1935 in Windber, Pa., the son of Clemed and Audrey McGee. He was a retiree from Eastman Kodak Company and a former Monroe County Deputy Sheriff. Predeceased by his wife Joan McGee and daughter Colleen Elizabeth McGee. His is survived by his wife Mary Ann Tette; children, Timothy (Molly) McGee, Patricia (Dennis) Davin, Lauren (Dana) Hurlburt, Robert (Erica) McGee, Beth (Robert) Briggs; nine grandchildren; brother, William (Carol) McGee; several nieces and nephews. Calling hours were held Feb. 2 at the Stephenson-Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 350 Genesee St. in Avon. Memorial Mass was held Feb. 3 at St. Mary's Church in Geneseo. Interment, St. Agnes Cemetery in Avon. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Livingston County Hospice, 2 County Campus, Mt. Frances Grossi Simpson

Mt. Morris resident

Frances Grossi Simpson, 81, of 4 School St., Mt. Morris, died Feb. 2, 2006 at Noyes Memorial Hospital in Dansville. She was born the daughter of Samuel and Concetta (Leonardo) Carrican on Aug. 13, 1924 in Cuylerville. Prior to her retirement she was employed at the Livingston County Skilled Nursing Facility in Geneseo. She is survived by seven children, Emma (Richard) Ewald of Ithaca, Anthony (Kathleen) Grossi of Florida, Loretta (Michael) LoVerde of Mt. Morris, Samuel Grossi of Rochester, Linda Mulcahy of Ithaca, John (Judy) Grossi of Georgia, Gerald Grossi of Toronto; 20 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two children Concetta Gullo and Richard Grossi. Calling hours, Wednesday 2-4 p.m. at the John W. Martin Funeral Home, 37 Chapel St. (Route 408), Mt. Morris. Services, Wednesday at 4 p.m. with Pastor Don Vogel officiating. Interment, St. Patrick's Cemetery. Memorials may be made to your favorite local Ambulance Fund. Sheila A. Strong

Livonia - Sheila A. Strong, 60, died Jan. 19, 2006. She was predeceased by her father and mother, Bernard and Leona Strong and her brother Thomas Strong. She is survived by her brother Denny (Nan) Strong; sister-in-law Nancy Strong; nephews Todd (Renee) Strong and Patrick (Jennifer Scaccia) Strong; great nieces and great nephews, Jennifer, Thomas, Ricky and Jamie Strong.
