William J. Adair

William J. Adair, 85, retired farmer for Adair Farms in Geneseo, died Jan. 23, 2002, at the Livingston County Campus Skilled Nursing Facility in Mt. Morris. Mr.. Adair lived in Geneseo prior to his entry into the SNF in 1992. He is survived by his sister Elizabeth (Alfred) Gray of Geneseo; brother Bryce (Petra) Adair of Groveland; cousin Marian Adair; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was born Oct.. 5, 1916, in Ireland the son of Crawford B. and Meta McCurdy Adair. No prior calling hours. Memorials may be made to Livingston County Campus SNF, Murray Hill, Mt. Morris NY 14510. Graveside services in Temple Hill Cemetery in Geneseo will be announced. Reference: Rector Hicks Funeral Home Inc., 111 Main St. in Geneseo.

Rachel M. Aten

Rachel M. Aten, 47, of Aten Road, Groveland, died Jan. 24, 2002, at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester after a long illness. She was born the daughter of George and Alice Wing Kiefer on March 24, 1954 in Rochester. She was predeceased by her father George. She is survived by her children, Michael (Millicent) Aten, Jennifer (Kevin) Haywood; grandchildren, Michael S. Aten II and Kenneth Clair Haywood, all of Groveland; her mother Alice Kiefer of South Livonia; brother Ronald (Suzanne) Kiefer of Livonia; sister Linda (Stephen) Rainer of York; several sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews. Friends called Monday at the Kevin W. Dougherty Funeral Home Inc., Route 15 in Livonia where services were held Monday. Burial, Oakridge Cemetery in South Livonia. Friends wishing may make memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society.

June L. Chisholm

June L. Chisholm went to her eternal reward on January 22, 2002 at the age of 81. She was born the daughter of Archie and Emma Walters Chisholm on October 15, 1920 in Johnstown, PA. She was a teacher at the Wheatland-Chili School until her retirement. She is survived by her loving family in the Lord, Edward and Marianne Buscemi & children; Dan and Danielle (Hallie, Henry) Varenka, Amanda, Elizabeth and Bridget Buscemi. Also survived by her pastors Bob and Kathy Campbell & children; Charity, Melody, Robert and Josiah Campbell. June is also survived by many dear nieces, nephews and friends. A celebration of June's life was held Saturday at the Livonia Community Church, High Street, Livonia. Arrangements by the Kevin W. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc.

Paul H. Everhart

Paul H. Everhart, age 69, of Caledonia died January 23, 2002 at Rochester General Hospital, Rochester after a short illness. He was born November 27, 1932 in Rochester, NY to Walter and Rose (Armitage)Everhart. Paul retired from Eastman Kodak. He worked part-time at Tom Wahl's in Avon, and he was a member of St. Peter's Church in LeRoy. He is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Kathleen (Jeffrey) Schwartz of Piffard, Karen Eccloston of LeRoy; sons and daughters -in-law, David of Fl, Richard (Rebecca) of Albion, Paul (Billie Joe) Everhart of Brockport; 11 grandchildren; 7 step-grandchildren, 1 great-granddaughter; brother, Danny (Peggy) Everhart of Rochester; several nieces and nephews. His wife, Mary Anne predeceased him. Friends called Friday at the Alhart Funeral Home, 3068 West Main Street. His Funeral Mass was held at St. Peter's Church in LeRoy. Interment was held at St. Francis Cemetery in LeRoy. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, Lakes District, 1400 Winton Rd., P.O. Box 10609, Rochester, NY 14610.

Katherine M. Feeley

Katherine M. Feeley, age 75 yr. of Mumford died January 22, 2002 at Strong Memorial Hospital, Rochester after a long illness. Katherine was born March 18, 1926 in Batavia Thomas J. and Helen (Turner) Phillips. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Columba Church. She is survived by her daughters and son-in-law; Wanda Smith of Mumford, Veronica and Mark Calan of Caledonia; grandchildren, Patrick and Carl Smith, Ryan, Colin and Martin Callan; sisters, Evenly (Dean)Schelle of Texas, Dorothy Welch of Geneseo, Mary Aikens of Henrietta, JoAnn (Ernie) Wiard of Avon, several nieces and nephews. Friends called at the Alhart Funeral Home in Caledonia. Her Funeral Mass was held Friday at St. Columba Church. Interment was held at Mumford Rural Cemetery, Mumford. Memorials may be made to the National Kidney Foundation of Upstate New York, 3300 Monroe Avenue, Suite 100D, Rochester, NY 14618.

Josephine J. Rizzo

Josephine J. Rizzo, 87, of 23 Spring St., Mt. Morris, died Jan. 27, 2002 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester. She was born on May 11, 1914 in Tonawanda, N.Y. the daughter of Henry and Gabriella Swiniuch. She was a member of the Assembly God Church in Henrietta. She is survived by her daughter Patricia (Cliff Whaley) Hammond of Henrietta; five sons, James Rizzo of Mt. Morris, Thomas and Frank (Lori) Rizzo, both of Henrietta and Stephen and Kenneth (Bev) Rizzo, both of Leicester; 25 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren and one great great grandson; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Jacob Sr., two sons, Jacob Jr. and Joseph and daughter Rose. Friends called Tuesday at the JOHN W. MARTIN FUNERAL HOME, 37 Chapel St. in Mt. Morris where Funeral services were held Wednesday with Pastor William Lansberry officiating. Burial St. Patrick's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Assembly of God Church, 1390 Pinnacle Rd., Henrietta, NY 14467.

Ethel F. Veaunt

Ethel F. Veaunt, 85, of 7380 Mt. Morris-Nunda Road, Mt. Morris, died Jan. 23, 2002, at St. Mary's Hospice Unit in Rochester. She was born on Feb. 7, 1916, in Rochester, the daughter of Mervin and Ella (Rafoth) Near. Prior to her retirement she was employed as a nurses aid at Genesee, Rochester General, Monroe Community and Strong Memorial Hospitals in Rochester. She is survived by her six children, Shirley Blazak of Rochester, Valliere (Phil) Galletto of North Chili, Charles (Bonnie) Giehl of South Dansville, Buck (Debbie) Veaunt and John (Mary) Veaunt, both of Mt. Morris, and Kevin Veaunt of Rochester; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; one brother Ted Near of North Carolina; nieces and nephews. No prior calling. Memorial services were held Sunday at the John W. Martin Funeral Home, 37 Chapel St. in Mt. Morris. Interment, Mt. Morris Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to GRHC Hospice Fund, c/o St. Mary's Hospital, 89 Genesee St., Rochester NY 14611.
